Patriots signed Cincinnati WR Kenbrell Thompkins.

Thompkins (6-foot 5/8, 193) spent two seasons at UC after transferring from community college, catching 78 passes for 1,077 yards (13.8 YPR) and four touchdowns. He ran a 4.54 forty at the Combine with a 1.54 ten-yard split and 33.5-inch vertical. Thompkins will compete for a roster spot in the Patriots' remade receiving corps.

Almost got as many good WR's UDFA as they got in the draft. TJ Moe had the fastest 3 cone at the combine 6.53.

He's been compared to Welker a lot because of his quick feet and great first step. He's got a huge catch radius too. I'm hoping Dobson can push Jenkins out and we roll Amendola, Jones, Dobson, Edelman, Boyce, Moe, Slater. I'd love to see Moe make the team cause I don't see him making it to PS if he shows anything in camp

I wonder if some of that money that they did not spend in FA that everyone was whining about is being used to sweeten the deals and lure for some of these prioty UDFA signings

most likely not. UDFA contracts are rarely above round 7 contracts and never above round 4 contracts. Round 4 contracts are usually the one's that start counting against the 51 contracts counted in camp

While I do not belive it is anything exorbitant there is always a UDFA player or two the Pats sign and got, each season,  because they gave the kid a 15k, 25k, and i belive 1 year 50k signing bonus.

The top UDFA's always have a half dozen or more teams vying for their services.

nah they usually get 12-20 UDFA guys every year. Them and TB always sign the most UDFA guys, most likely why the also find the most that end up o the team too. Numbers game after all otherwise if teams knew they'd be even sub players they would have drafted them
