Was I hallucinating while watching Saints/Steelers

I could have sworn I saw a deliberate helmet to helmet hit on Drew Brees yet it seems it never happened. Nothing from the NFL or the talking heads on ESPN. Did anyone else see this?

Was this the hit at the lower back of Brees helmet that you are talking about?  If so, I seen that too and have wondered about why no word from the NFL.  That was a bad hit.

It drew a roughing the passer call too. This is what I expected from the NFL though. Another highly interpetive rule that will be poluted by internal politics.

If it was the Harrison hit.....ESPN made note of that hit and said the league would be examining it.
Now, we'll see if anything comes out of it.

You've gotta laugh at ESPN. 2 weeks ago it was the new big thing with half of every hour devoted to on air personel arguing with each other accompanied by 3 million replays of the dumb Merriweather hit.

Now the big thing is Moss not liking the catering in the Vikings locker room.

Goodell's herky/jerky, politically correct posturing drives me nuts.

He has no idea how to understand his own rules, write them or enforce them.

No, you did see it , and harrison was also involved in another player where he went down with his helmet on a saint that already was tackled and down, but they didn't call a late hit.

i think the steelers are becoming the new colts with the refs

    NFL marketing.

The Steelers and Ravens are marketed as the smash mouth tough guy teams so they get away with a lot.

The Colts are the finesse team so they get a lot of PI calls.

We're the dark side of the NFL led by Darth Vader in a hoodie. We get nothing but everyone else gets to hate us.

    I like it that way.

Harrison was front-and-center under the microscope when all this "devatating hit" nonsense blew up a couple weeks ago.

Why on earth would the league be protecting him now?

That doesn't make the first lick of sense.

Um, so where is the suspension? The guy had two helmet to helmets in 2 weeks.

I predicted he would get suspended, but I didn't think it would take 2 weeks.

Maybe you should quit crying about it.  Oh poor, poor Patriots.  And, by the way, saying that the Colts are a 'finesse team' is really old and overplayed.

And which troll under a different name would you be?

Are you claiming the NFL doesn't pay attention to fan perception and adjust marketing accordingly? Because if you are then you can explain why they don't make a hundred thousand shirts for every player? It's a business that markets it's products according to research just like a shampoo company.

You Colts fans are so thin skinned aren't you?

If I had to guess...........Were probably looking at the first suspension under the new mandate, Since this dirty d_bag is a repeat offender.  I'm sure the lawyers in the league offices are going over the paperwork to make sure everything is in order to fight a legal challenge from the players union.

He's keeping his mouth shut about it but it seems like some of his fellow Steelers are miffed about it.

The Eagles are angry too. I've seen both hits and both were deliberate cheap shots.
