Thats good news but this could be the case all year. If BB give them a wink and nod not to sign elsewhere and sais he has to do some roster shuffling. Just a matter of how long they wanna play that game and if another team wants to sign them, but Im cool with it. I would rather see Bolden go than Leon. Bolden seems redundant here now.

I'd be pretty happy if he came back.  I still think he can help this team as a kick returner.  I hope it doesn't come at the expense of Blount, though.  We likely won't see a move until after week 1.

They better not get rid of Blount or I will write BB an angry letter. That'll show him!

I like what I saw from Blount. If they got rid of Bolden for Washington I wouldn't be upset at all. In fact, that would probably be a good move overall. I just don't think that Bolden is that good, and his PED violation was a little off putting as well.

as usual , u dont know how to evaluate players. He didnt show much, but he never looked slow or lacked any burst. Its called, our special teams S*ck and dont block enough. How many returns went past the 30 for us the past couple years? I bet its bottom of the league

Week 1: Running back Johnny Touchdown of the XXXers tears his ACL and MCL. Looking for help, they work out a deal with BB and the Pats, sending DL Addmesome Depth to the Pats for former 1000 yard rusher LeGarrett Blount.

I'm going to put that on Marquice Cole, he blew his block, big time.  It was pathetic.  Cole is worthless on defense and ST's, shouldn't have been brought back.  He wasn't good enough for the Jet's, hje certainly isn't good enough for the Patriots.

Re: Washington returning. Locker still intact.

Its funny how once a guy is gone people try and bash a guy and act like he was done. fact is, when the holes were there, he looked good, still fast with plenty of burst. I can recall 2 times off my head where Leon ran into his own defender because the guy was pushed into him. Special teams is never prettty but it cant really be gauged in preseason where rookie,2nd year players, specialists are all fighting for their lives compared to reg. season where BB uses starters a lot on those units. The FACTS are OUR special teams have bEEn NOTHING special. We get a guy in here, he looked good on 3 punt returns and since he doesnt break any, he s*cks?  How about our blocking s*cks. How many years u gonna watch guys s*ck back there before u declare it a coaching or talent problem?  Its a joke how fans evaluate players without context here. Just like rustys brilliant analysis of Brady S*cked, failing to point out his blocking S*CKED!  Wow....Now Leon doesnt have any burst!??!   And Devin McCourty was SLOW last year too right? The ONE time he actually got blocking, he took the thing back. We need a better UNIT!

I'll definitely blame the coaching. I still want to see what is going on with our DB coach. Players do well at CB their first year here and then always forget how to play. It's just weird.

Still, BB must not have been THAT impressed with Washington to cut him in the first place and risk him getting picked up in waivers. If he comes back and does well then great, but I'm not holding my breath. You guys are still right though, the blocking was pretty atrocious throughout the preseason. It's bad when one of the best returns in recent years was done by an O-Lineman hahaha

Very glad to hear this...Washington will be fine...he's the best we have. KR don't grow on trees. First, they need to have no regard for their personal well being. Second they need to hang onto the ball when getting belted while running with no regard for their personal safety.

I'm gonna keep saying this....don't sleep on Bolden....he can run. No reason why we shouldn't unleash a running game not sean here for quite some time. I'm old school, and I know things change, but football to me is a strong D and a strong running game.

I agree. Not sure where Bolden fits if leon returns but I agree with everything anyways. Even without Bolden, Blount, Ridley and Vareen give you a nice trio of backs which should keep defenses off balance and not allow them to tee off on # 12. I want to see more of Blount on 1st down runs and more playaction. Ridley shouldnt think he has a secure job. Let him think about his snaps being taken so he takes ball security more serious. That is key as Blount has been known to put in the turf as well. If backs are fumbling, more Brady to Amendola

This happens all the time, players get cut and resigned at this time because the cap has to be juggled.

Also he could just sit at home and wait for a call, maybe his signing bonus was just a retainer fee.  Belichick's not a good GM... sure

    Laughable...

My guess is he'll be a week to week roster bubble player , and there are several of those that BB likes to juggle based IMO, on special team matchups.

guys like tarpinian,  beauharnais, develin fall in this category.

I think it comes down to the whim of BB chatting with special teams coordinator.  Who do you want that week to counteract  spiller for instance.  Answer, tarpinian, or beauharnais.

Next week vs jets it will be Washington to go against former team and the less threatening returners they have.
