We can all rest easy now...Patriots not considering signing Terrell Owens

Tom Brady and Terrell Owens are working out together. But they’re not going to be teammates.

Jeff Howe of the Boston Herald reports that nothing is going on between the Patriots and Owens.

Because Brady and Owens are working out together in Los Angeles (along with players including Danny Amendola and Matt Cassel), and because the Patriots could use another receiver, speculation arose that perhaps the Patriots would consider Owens. But that sounds more like idle talk during a slow time in the offseason than like something Bill Belichick would actually consider.

Owens, who will turn 40 in December, still wants to play in the NFL. But he lasted less than three weeks in Seahawks training camp last summer, and hasn’t played in a regular-season game since 2010. It’s hard to see Owens making it back in the NFL, and if he does, it won’t be in New England.

    And rotoworld..

The Boston Herald confirms there is "nothing brewing" between the Patriots and free agent Terrell Owens.

As we suspected. Owens, 39, reportedly "has been in discussion" with teams this offseason, but that sounds more like agent speak than anything. It would be a surprise if T.O. found his way into an NFL uniform again. Related: Patriots   Source: Boston Herald

    Thank Goodness!!

I thought Brady was just out trying to find a receiver cheap enough for the Pats to hire him.  Poor Brady . . . reduced to begging . . .

    "Please, coach, I want some more . . ."

OK we are OK with MMJ but not OK with TO? I'll take TO all dam day long over MMJ in a 40 yrd dash. MMJ doesn't even win one race! TO can still run 4.4 forties MMJ hasn't run a 4.5 or less in 9 years! Also maybe you should check out the stats on both of these guys and on any given day TO would beat this guy for a roster spot.
