Texpat, As much as I respect your ratings and predictions, I do wonder sometime that a knowlegable person like you will say he is picking the "chiefs". Chiefs have been pathetic, they knew against broncos that the Broncos will Run and Run only..yet they were unable to stop them. So my pick will always be Pats, it is oppotunity for Pats to try out Price & new schemes on defense

     It's always more fun going into a new week, fresh off a big Patriots' win. Now in firm control of the AFC East, and armed with a fairly soft schedule over the final seven games, the Pats should have ample opportunity to earn a playoff bye in the weeks ahead.      The Week 11 games present some really tough games to call...beginning with the "Game of the Week": 1.) (6-3) Cincinnati Bengals (+7) @ (6-3) Baltimore Ravens: Both teams are coming off losses, and both teams need a win to keep pace with the Pittsburgh Steelers, atop the AFC North. The Bengals battled back at home, after spotting those Steelers a 14-0 lead. But, the deficit proved to be too much to overcome. The Raven are an enigma. They sweep the Steelers, yet they lose to both Jacksonville and Seattle on the road. So, the question becomes, do you bet on a rookie QB against that veteran Ravens' defense? Or, do you bet on the Doctor Jeckyl/Mr. Hyde Buzzards? PICK: Bengals; 2.) (5-4) N.Y. Jets @ (4-5) Denver Broncos (+4.5): Another tough game to call. How will the Jets respond emotionally and physically, after being drubbed by the Patriots last Sunday night? Last season, you may recall that the Jets had a bit of a "hangover" subsequent to the 45-3 pounding the Pats put on them. Denver has big problems on offense. Their top two RBs, Knowshon Moreno and Willis McGahee, are out. Though QB Tim Tebow has been winning, he's completed just a dozen (12) passes over his last two games , combined !!! For those of you with insomnia, you should record this game...and then replay it every night at bedtime: PICK: Jets; 3.) (5-4) Tennessee Titans (+6) @ (5-4) Atlanta Falcons: The Titans are coming off a good win over the Cam Newton led Panthers. The Falcons may have blown their season last week in losing to the Saints at home. For those of you who don't know, the Falcons pulled a bit of a Belichick, choosing to go for a 4th and two inches, at their own 30 yard line, during OT. But, instead of running a QB sneak, or a play-action pass to pick up such a minute distance, they stupidly ran a slow developing hand-off to Michael Turner. After Turner was dropped for a two yard loss, the game was lost. It will be interesting to see how quickly the Falcons can put that demoralizing loss aside: PICK: Falcons; 4.) (5-4) Buffalo Bills (+2) @ (2-7) Miami Dolphins: The Bills have fallen apart the past two weeks...getting blown out by both the Jets and Cowboys. Meanwhile, Miami has been very competitive over the past four weeks, and have won two games in a row, behind reserve QB Matt Moore: PICK: Dolphins; 5.) (3-6) Jacksonville Jaguars @ (3-6) Cleveland Browns (+1): This one promises to be a real heart-stopper...LOL!!!  PICK: Jaguars; 6.) (5-4) Oakland Raiders (+1.5) @ (2-7) Minnesota Vikings: Carson Palmer continues to get comfortable with the Raiders' offense. Oakland needs a win to retain their place atop the AFC West. The Vikings looked awful last Monday night, in Green Bay: PICK: Raiders; 7.) (2-7) Carolina Panthers (+7) @ (6-3) Detroit Lions: Both teams will try to rebound from blow-out losses. The Panthers were routed at home by Tennessee, and the Lions were buried by the Bears in Chicago. But, the Lions tend to play much better at home, than they do on the road: PICK: Lions; 8.) (4-5) Tampa Bay Buccaneers (+13.5) @ (9-0) Green Bay Packers: The Packers look and play like the 2007 Patriots...and have a legitimate chance of having a perfect season. The punchless Bucs have lost four of their last five: PICK: Packers; 9.) (5-4) Dallas Cowboys (+7.5) @ (3-6) Washington Redskins: Dallas has a chance to overtake the Giants in the NFC East. They have a soft schedule, while the Giants have a slew of tough games ahead. The Redskins have QBs Rex Grossman and John "The Beck Girl" Beck to choose from, each week. How thrilling must it be to be a Redskins' fan? PICK: Cowboys; 10.) (3-6) Arizona Cardinals (+9.5) @ (8-1) San Francisco 49ers: The 9ers and their tough defense are for real. The Cards have played well the past three weeks, in barely losing in Baltimore, beating St. Louis, and winning in Philly:  PICK: Cardinals; 11.) (3-6) Seattle Seahawks (+2) @ (2-7) St. Louis Rams: Though Seattle is coming off a big win over the Ravens, they are a much tougher team to beat at home, than on the road. St. Louis has been competitive in the last three games...winning two of those three: PICK: Rams; 12.) (4-5) San Diego Chargers (+3.5) @ (6-3) Chicago Bears: San Diego continues to under achieve and flounder, under Norv Turner's "leadership". The Bears have the lean and mean look of a playoff team. They may be the only team standing between the Green Bay Packers and an undefeated season:  PICK: Bears; 13.) (3-6) Philadelphia Eagles (+4) @ (6-3) N.Y. Giants: Michael Vick suffered a pair of broken ribs last week, in the first quarter of the "Dream Teams'" loss to Arizona, at home. Though losing in San Francisco, the Giants acquitted themselves well...and are playing good football. Eli Manning is having the best season of his career, thus far: PICK: Giants;  14.) (4-5) Kansas City Chiefs (+15.5) @ (6-3) New England Patriots:  The offensively challenged Chiefs will be without starting QB Matt Cassel, this coming Monday night. Though the Patriots are coming off a huge win over the Jets, over the past few weeks, their running game has been non-existent, and their offense overall has been inconsistent. Meanwhile, their secondary has a tendency to make any QB look good. This is your classic "trap game", which the Patriots will manage to win. But, covering a 15.5 point spread is a lot to ask: PICK: Chiefs.      BEST BETS: Green Bay, Rams, Cowboys .     As always, your comments and game predictions are welcome.      With regards to the Patriots' game:

No one can seriously take the Chiefs, I don't care how much inside information they may have!  This isn't the Sox facing an unknown pitcher for the first time, BB is going to have a field day!

 Other than the Steelers game (Roethlisberger is a great QB) the defense has been playing well overall lately. I know the Pats have struggled against back up QB's the past few years but this guy must be pretty bad if he can't get playing time with Cassel playing so awful this year.
 
RESPONSE: Could it be that Cassel is playing awful because his star RB, Jamaal Charles, blew out his knee? His "security blanket, TE Tony Moeaki, was lost for the season early, as well. But, the main reason why he's had problems is due to playing behind an awful OL:

The Chiefs have a decent defense but it gets tired with all those 3 and outs Cassel puts up.
 
RESPONSE: It's hard to complete passes when you're repeatedly knocked flat on your back.

I can see it close at half time but I can't imagine the Pats not putting it away handily early in the second half. If the Pats start off with the ball and can score a TD on the first drive it could be a complete blow out.
 
RESPONSE: Assuming that the Pats win the coin toss, they'll defer. They always do.

If the don't allow Cassel 20 pass attempts a game what can they do with this QB. They have only one good reciever on that team.

Where in the world do the Cowboys GET 7.5 points. Sportsbook has them at MINUS 8. I guess it WOULD be a "Best Bet" if they GIVE Dallas 7.5 points. Sportsbook also doesn't even show the Giants game though for some reason

@ texpat I am born & brought up in India .. I fell in love with football & Pats when  I was working in New York for couple of years. My Boss there took me to a jets-pats game and since then I started following the game. Now I am back in India and try to keep myself in touch with the game and the pats.

I wanted to peak in here and see what you made of the spread.  It's bad money. Thankfully, I have none to spend.  I hate taking those.  I'm going to say, I have a wierd feeling that a.) BB is fired up for this game because of the talk about him in the media, and b.) the Pats are still riding a wave of momentum emotion, and b.) the cheifs don't have Matt Cassell.  I agree with you. I don't understand the Cassell bashing. There are far worse quarterbacks, and after Moeaki and Charles went down, Cassel essentially lost his #2 and #3 recieving threats at once, and his #1 runner as well. This year's cheifs are apples and oranges. That loss is analagous to NE losing Gronk, Branch and Ben Jarvus Green Ellis all at once. Oh, and losing Waters, who the Cheifs inexplicably let go, lol.  Ultimately, they cover. I hate those spreads, but I think NE kills this team. While I'm here, I got the: Bengals Broncos Falcons  Bills Jags Raiders (with gusto, Palmer is going to get a lot better quicker, and in the long haul, I see the Raiders being a real team to reckon with) Lions Buccaneers Cowboys (I think they will roll for a bit) Niners Rams Chargers Gints
