    But I'll play along despite your error. List for me the homerun WRs BB has drafted and I'll take you seriously.

    Not going to go through lists Vito, but you just pulled out one player who was drafted several years ago.  But I will agree that the Pats have had trouble drafting receivers.

    What I saw was rookie wide receivers getting open consistently but either turning the wrong way or dropping the ball. This is correctable. I remain optimistic.

    Don't look promising so far. And BB's track record on this is abysmal. So, don't get your hopes up.

    2 games babe, is the glass always half empty or just when it comes to BB and the defense?

    Two games is 1/3 of the games needed to see what you are. So far, we aren't.

    I'm a "the glass is at 50% of capacity" kind of guy. I'm a realist, not a kool-aide guzzler nor a NN.

    Re: What a way to waste Brady's talent

    I think management has treated free agency as if we were an expansion team the last three years, not a team that has one of the best weapons in football on it (Brady). That's what he is...a weapon.

    I'm surprised people are this down on our young receivers though - what did people think was going to happen? It's going to take time. The thing I find disappointing is us replacing Welker with Amendola, he may come back and help, but I don't think we'll see him here next year...not at his price anyway. You can't pay a guy that much to miss as much as he annually does. It was a mistake.

    How can we ask for more? How about asking that we not look like a very shaky team that barely dodged two bullets against crap opponents?

    Nobody's whining; it's called being honest. Try it.

    Fact Gronk is injured...

    Fact Hernandez was arrested after the draft and all significant free agents were signed.

    Fact Wes Welker left for more money?

    Fact Flyod wasn't all that...

    Woodhead was passed on the depth chart By Verren...who broke his wrist..

    Amedola was signed to replace Welker.

    in the end Tom Brady needs to stp up, lead and show the kids what it takes...he also has to own his poor play too

    I always try too stay positive, but how can BB put these kinds of weapons around Brady? You have one of the best qb's of all time and,you sign a injury prone wr, let Wes go, and fail to bring in adequate replacements.

    I have a feeling years from now writers and fans will look back and think what a waste. Grr.

    i hope they get it together over time?

         Drafting mistakes take their toll over time:

    1.) WR Chad Jackson, taken 36th overall, in 2006;

    2.) WR Brandon Tate, taken 83rd overall, in 2009;

    3.) WR Taylor Price, taken 90th overall, in 2010.

         It's unreasonable to expect that a couple of undrafted rookies like Kenbrell Thompkins and Zack Sudfels are going to immediately step right in and replace veterans like Brandon Lloyd and Aaron Hernandez. Ditto rookie WRs Josh Boyce, and Aaron Dobson. That said, despite a bad case of stone fingers, I was encouraged seeing Dobson successfully get off the line of scrimmage, and get separation against a fair Jets' secondary, on Thursday night.

    Re: What a way to waste Brady's talent

    Last time I checked, he had 3 SB rings.  So, we will retire as a 3 time SB winner.  AT LEAST.  He had a chance to make it 5.  Directly in control of that.  So, no.  He has more than Marino.  More than Warner.  More than Roethlisberger and as many as ALL the Mannings combined (for now).  He has more than Bledsoe.  Kelly.  Vick.  Brees.  Favre.  Young.

    NOT TOO SHABBY.

    If not for a gutsy call by Belichick when Bledsoe got healthy, Brady probably would have been traded the next year and who knows what he would have done?  I believe less, since it's a combination of Brady's talent and the team's ability to maximize it.
