Do you honestly think this is a SB quality Defense?  It wouldn't hurt.

    I will miss his face.

Seriously, I have never seen a guy on the sideline look so much like he had no idea where he was. He looked like he was sitting on the couch watching his wife's shows.

Phillips: horrible head coach, solid defensive coordinator.

With respect to his fit with the Patriots not sure his 3-4 is the same system as BB's and that is the key.  BB will not change his system for Phillips so the question is can Phillips adapt to BB's system?

To be honest, I'd be surprised to see Phillips in Foxborough.

    What a ridiculous post!

If you follow the Pats you know the 3-4 is a different sytle of 3-4.

The Dallas defense with all the talent this year stinks more than their offense.

Why would you bring in a coach - never mind a DC - this late in the season?

Wait can we tade for Merriman?!

Any HC that gets in front of the national media ands say "we're going to TRY and win a game"  TRY?? TRY really. Not welcome in Foxboro.

I know a post like this comes out after every player is released.  Honestly though, what about bringing in Coach Phillips as a DC?  As well as I can remember, he did a pretty good job as a DC and if you haven't noticed, the Pats are one of the worst defensive teams in the league.  Hasn't Phillips been running a 3-4 his whole career? Anyways, I think it would be a good fit.  The Pats really haven't had a dominant D sinceRomeo left.

It doesn't seem to be BB's way to bring in coordinators from outside. He big on loyalty, and seems to prefer promoting from within.

I suspect not....  BB is doing the defensive side this year Phillips is not needed.

If we need an outsider to be brought in it would be an offensive coordinator not a defensive one.
