The  Put On Strecher Before Week 6 Award. If KC can stop Rogers (a more mobile QB than Manning ever was) they should tee off on Manning. Pretty much everyone in the AFC West will want to crush Manning...all this and I didn`t even mention what the most penalised team in the NFL will do to Manning.

Just for the record, I think Peyton is a fantastic Quarterback and a wonderfull ambassador for football. His personality really shines in his commercials. It's simply a matter of taste as to who is the greatest of the bunch. Unfortunately I have a gut feeling he will get hurt. I hope I am wrong. Sadly, he will not finish the season. Just a feeling.

Yep, all these awards and still only 1 SB ring. This week, even though the Ravens are still nicked up, lets see how Mr Manning does against a fired up Raven defense. I really do not like either the Ravens or the Broncos and it would be nice if Ray Lewis or someone else kicks Manning's *ss and knocks him out of the game. It's amazing Manning has not been wrecked already.

Anywho, every Pats fan will be routing against Manning to lose (surely other fans around the league would luv to see Manning fall on his *ss as well) and the AFC championship to be played here in the friendly confines of Gillette Stadium.

    Go Pats!

At least the Pats made it to the SB! Yeah 2 miracle plays in each game to win the games. The Gints were lucky, simple as that!

Re: What awards will Peyton win this year?

On Monday, quarterback Peyton Manning received his first yearly award nomination. He is one of three finalists for the FedEx Air NFL Player of the Year.
Fans can vote for one player in each category on NFL.com/FedEx until Friday, January 25 at 7 pm MT to determine the FedEx Air & Ground NFL Players of the Year.
Manning was nominated for FedEx’s weekly award five times in 2012, including nominations in Weeks 16 and 17, and won the award in Week 17. He also took home conference player of the week awards in Weeks 6 and 17 and conference player of the month awards for October and December.
The nomination comes after Manning broke franchise records in nearly every single-season passing category during his first year as a Bronco.

The quarterback finished with 4,659 yards on 400-of-583 passing with 37 touchdowns and just 11 interceptions. His team records were in touchdown passes, completions, passing yards and completion percentage (68.6). His season passer rating of 105.9 was also a team record.

He also earned his 12th career Pro Bowl selection, the most by a quarterback in NFL history while becoming the first signal-caller to be selected to the squad after missing the previous season due to injury. He is also the 14th player in league annals (and the only quarterback) to make 10 consecutive Pro Bowls in years he played.

Manning led the team to 11 straight wins en route to a 13-3 regular-season record as the Broncos earned the No. 1 seed the AFC playoffs.

Patriots quarterback Tom Brady and Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers are the other finalists for the award.

During the week leading up to Super Bowl XLVII, FedEx plans to announce the 2012 FedEx Air & Ground NFL Players of the Year in New Orleans, as well as make a $25,000 donation in each winning player’s name to Junior Achievement offices in the their city. The funding is used to help U.S. small business development, by educating the next generation of entrepreneurs on how to start and grow their own businesses.

Manning has really under acheived as a team player.  Sure he has won a bunch of personal awards but really, with the teams he had around him he should have won a few more Super Bowls then he actually has.  Now he is with a team that Tim Tebow had taken to the playoffs and people want to make a big deal about him leading the Broncos to the playoffs.  C'mon, really?

TFB - its my belief that what Manning experienced through most of his football life is the same thing Brady has experienced since 09.  Excellent offensive weapons with a marginal defense.  its earned him in that time an MVP and gotten him to a SB which he lost.

As for the fact that Tebow got the team to the playoffs last year.  Couldn't the same be said of Brady or Rodgers?  And didn't they essentially achieve the same record with the same/familiar personnel?

All due respect, Manning changed the way the team operated their offense entirely.  He worked with an entirely new staff of players save Tamme who couldn't even beat out Dressen for primary TE duties.

If you think Peterson deserves it, I am not going to argue the point even if I think Manning is deserved.

Did you know that Manning has now won at least 13 games in a season with 4 different head coaches?
