In Response to Re: What awards will Peyton win this year? : Please explain cheating. Where was there an advantage gained? Tapes never left the camera and never used in a game. How did this help them win games? C'mon genius, tell us! The experts couldn't explain how it helped but you must know. Let us all in on it. While you're at it, show us where it says in the rules or by-laws that teams can't tape.  Aren't all teams that are taping, cheating? If not, why?  It's perfectly legal.  Why does the location matter?  It's not like the tapers in the stands can't zoom in and count the boogers in ELI's nose. Please inform us all. Would you rather discuss how faking injuries in a game while the other team is in hurry-up/no huddle can help gain an advantage?  Isn't this stealing timeouts? Isn't this using more time outs than the other team.  RAMS LOL! Teams all get 3 time outs a half.  Why do the jints always take more? Why is it part of their game plan?  Why do they have signals that say when and who should drop.  Do all teams do this? C'mon genius?  Let us all in on it.

The Patriots were sending assistant coaches into the other teams locker rooms, dressed as janitors, to spy on the coaching and strategy changes at half-time. One of their own coaches gave them up on it. I notice that they haven't won a SB since they had to quit cheating.

Lets get this thread back on topic shall we....

Peyton will defiantly get ComeBack player of the year and if he stays healthy, which I think he will, he will probably get his record 5th MVP Award. The Broncos are a better team than the Colt were in 2010 and 2011 so he has a good chance of taking his new team to the SuperBowl. BTW....No QB has ever taken 2 different teams to a SuperBowl. So, lets add in another SB MVP to this list of records and Manning will defiantly go down as the greatest QB to ever play the game. Don't worry Patsie trolls, Brady will still be somewhere in the top 10 to ever play the game.

Its gonna be a great year....I cant wait!!!! Laughing

Heres a fun fact; Manning only played 15 games in 2004 to get the 49 touchdown record , (60 quarters of football) Brady played all 16 games( 64 quarters) in 2007 to get 50 touchdowns to break Mannings record by 1 TD. Manning broke the record in game 15 against the Chargers,12/26/04. The following week against Denver he started the game and only played the first 2 minutes just so he could keep his streak of  consecutive starts alive. If Manning had no class like the Patriots, he would have blown the record away with atleast 2 or more TD's. It took Brady's candy azz 1 more whole game just to get 1 more TD than Manning.

Ummm, I believe he played in that 16th game, just not all of it.  No guarantee he would have scored a td any way.
Brady was also pulled many times after they were leading by 4-5 scores.  Could have scored in any of those.  Cassell did!

    Most Wins by Decade
    Team Wins Titles
    49ers (1990s) 113 1
    Colts (2000s) 109 1
    Patriots (2000s) 108 3
    Cowboys (1970s) 105 2
    49ers (1980s) 104 4
    Dolphins (1970s) 104 2

Note: The N.F.L. played 14-game seasons through most of the 1970s, which makes the Dolphins’ and Cowboys’ victory totals more impressive.

Extra Point: Who is the team of the 2000s? For the purposes of this argument, we’re counting 2000-9 as the decade. (Others consider it 2001-2010) The Colts, who have the most wins but a record of playoff disappointments? The Steelers, who won one more Super Bowl title but fewer games over all? Or the Patriots, who claimed three championships but were tarred by spying allegations

    1. Peyton Manning

So why does Eli’s brother beat out the guy who has two more rings? Simply put, he’s the better QB. In fact, with the utmost respect to Montana, Elway and Marino, Peyton is the greatest to ever play the position. No one has ever managed a game like he does. Favre may hold the all-time TD record, but given that Manning still looks to have 5-6 good years left (he never gets hurt), that record along with many others will likely go down. As for the head-to-head with Brady on this list, Manning wins the MVP battle, 3-1. And if he doesn’t win it again this year, just cancel the damn award. So if Peyton if the greatest of all-time, how can he not win the decade?

       QB   Peyton Manning

Toughest call, choosing Manning over Brady. Both deserve it. Brady gets the edge in titles 3-1. Manning gets the edge in MVPs 3-1 -- and he's in prime position to win a record fourth this year. Manning gets the edge in raw productivity, with 11,000 more passing yards and 87 more touchdowns. Brady played eight years, Manning 10. If I chose this team at the end of this season and the Patriots had won another title, I'd have to put Brady in this spot. But we're picking it now, and as we sit here, I believe Manning will go down in history as one of the top three quarterbacks, and I can't make a team of the decade, in Manning's prime years, without having him quarterback it. Manning is my Player of the Decade.

    Manning, Colts get record win

After throwing three early touchdowns, then three inexplicable interceptions, Manning led the Indianapolis Colts on a late TD drive to beat the Denver Broncos 28-16, breaking NFL records for consecutive regular-season wins (22) and wins in a decade (114), plus wrapping up home-field advantage throughout the AFC playoffs.

The Colts broke a tie with the New England Patriots, who set the mark last season, and became the seventh team, including this year's New Orleans Saints, to start 13-0. Indy also was 13-0 in 2005.

Indy's 114th victory of the decade broke a tie with the 1990s San Francisco 49ers and set a franchise record with its 13th consecutive home win.

Yip.Ud6 in his new monkey suit. He must be feeling REALLY insecure to be going to these extremes. And make note, it's BEFORE the season starts, and "everyone is 0-0, and any fantasy is still possible". Once the season actually starts and all the Mannings end up on their back, he won't be able to post this crap. Enjoy while it lasts. The Colts will be terrible, the Giants have majorly regressed in a division that has much improved, and the hype surrounding Denver is so great (41,000 for a scrimmage?) that it guarantees a Philly "dream team" or Miami Heat "not five not six, not seven" first year meltdown. It's over, there will never be another Manning in the SB.

HAHAHA.....  If Manning was half as bright as his rumpswabs think he is, or wasn't so arrogant, he would have realized that as long as Tom Brady was playing football, the record of 49 TDs in a season was at risk..!

Truth be told, Paidaton never imagined in his wildest dreams that anyone could surpass that total....or else, you bet your backside, he would have played that entire final game...!   He must know that losing that particular record puts him 'behind the eight ball' in any discussion of GOAT.

Personally, I think his propensity for throwing so many pick-sixes has hurt his chances even more....especially the one he gift-wrapped for Tracy Porter and the Saints..!  Tongue out

I wonder if it gnaws at his insides as much as it gnaws at yours..???
