It's not about the dynastry being over; it's not about doom and gloom. It's not about being negative.
It is about shock and awe. Very few free agents accept Kelly and Amendola are stilll with the team, we let a reliable good punter go over $900,000; we pick up several guys off the scrap heap we don't know anything about and we have no explanations coming. How is one supposed to feel?
It's hard to focus on the good stuff we potentially do have (Thomkins, Sudfeld, maybe Sims on PS?) when this stuff happens. No other sport is like this. We have relative stabiltiy with the C's and Sox's rosters. How do expect fans to feel when management makes change after change with no explanation and no accountability.
And that's just it, we headed into the last three off seasons with loads of money to spend and come away with virtually nothing. Not good. We saved and saved and saved...planned for the future...pushed today into tomorrow with hopes it will lead to a brighter day. Then we end up with A. Wilson.
I've listened to the same koolaid drinkers for the last five years - how we are all spoiled, how we need to wait till next year, how we can't expect to win it every year, we don't know what we are talking about, etc. I'll tell you what, you could put a blind fold on a person, have him throw darts at random names on a wall and he would do no worse than the players we have brought in here over the last three years during free agency. Perhaps better. That's the god's honest truth.
Typical koolaid article from a year ago...
Umm, 3 UDFAs just made the team. If Kline is added again, that's 4.
You just want that big splash like Mike Wallace, for example. Miami may not even make the playoffs. I used to laugh when you and Shizzles would come in here pining for these one trick pony prima donna types. What's next, make a push for Dez Bryant? lol!
Admit it, you're a moron. Every year Brady plays well in the regular season and then he sucks in the title game if we make it to one.
It has nothing to do with how many trendy splashes BB makes to make you sleep easy at night with your Brady doll, Cupcake. Has nothing to do with it.
Every year, he pulls in a couple nice FAs to help the club and you think we can just wildly throw money around like a moron franchise like Miami, the Jets and whoever else. Then, those teams don't make the playoffs continually and you don't understand why.
It's about balance on the roster and depth, not a trendy FA signing so the media can talk about you.
You're like a little child who loves to read all the columns about his team so he can have sweet dreams at night.
Meanwhile, the adults here sit back and know the score. I still cannot believe you teach kids.
Do you talk abou the Pats with your students? Do they think you're a cuckoo when you whine and complain about this?
You'll never, ever understand cap management either. "loads and loads of money". lmao
A flat cap, new contracts due, and we have "loads and loads" of money. MORON
Yes! Yes! Flat cap! New contracts due! Salary cap hell! Wonderful!! It just didn't come true - there wasn't one useful, big name player dumped on the street yesterday due to "salary cap hell". That was what was supposed to happen, correct? Then we were going to swoop right in and gobble them all up...that's what you've been saying for five years.
Try hockey again - something else - because after what you wrote about A. Wilson you need a change.
1. Exhibit B, folks. We had Exhibit A above with PatsEng, who also has turned into a BB basher.
Classic RKrap. Overrates every mediocre signing or overpaid FAs for other AFC teams and then claims things like this for a future HOF Safety.
BB plays a nickel base in lile 75% of the snaps. This means we'll see more dime type stuff with BB using Wilson like a coverage or taking off a Spikes or Hightowers more than a Wilson.
He's not going to be riding the bench. You don't take off a future HOFer who makes your entire D better due to what kind of formation you're supposed to play (non nickel or dime).
Dumb as a bag of rocks.
BB is drooling over the possibilites for Wilson in his D and you and PatsEng are making it seem like he'll see the field 25% of the time, which is false.
A player with this kind of a skill set is bad news for opposing offenses. Wilson was also not taken off the the field last year due to performance either, it was due to them moving on, being out of the playoffs and debuting other young players who may or may not be in their plans after Wilson was leaving.
^^Some good stuff right there from our village idiot.
