What's up at OLB??

Leading up to the draft, I've been hearing a lot about the Pats targeting Sergio Kindle and Brandon Graham. Both would play OLB, but last time I checked, both of our OLB spots are filled. I know Adalius Thomas was supposed to be out, but we're almost at the draft and he's still around. So what's going on? -

well, our OLBs are not starters they are not elite pass rushers and just wait AD will be gone.
AD - a blitzer not a pass rusher, and not a good blitzer either and just has not heart.
Tully - stepped up big, real big last year but I don't expect the same this year plus he's not good against the run
Crable - well I believe it when I see it
Murrell - not a starter, can be a situational pass rusher but most likely a special teams guy
Ninkovich - depth guy and good special teams guy, maybe develops but don't think he's more that what he was in 2009
Bruce Davis - young guy, has the ability to turn into a good pass rusher was a practice squad guy. Someone who could make the 53
Woods - well underachiever?
Out of all these guys other than Tully the others are ????s can Crable be healthy can woods step up and they others are more can they make the team and offcourse how long before AD is released.
We need two starting OLBs, guys who can stop the run and pass rush or a stud pass rusher and a guy like A.J. Edds who can do everything well probably the best cover LB in the draft. -

AD will not be on the team next year. Burgess is currently unsigned and he stunk last year. Tully is best suited as a pass rushing specialist. every other OLB on the roster is there for depth or special teams or wont make it through preseason. we need LB's!!!! i hope we draft two early and one late. -

Jason Taylor will join the team soon, but the Pats still need to get better on defense. We had the worst pass-rush in the league last year, and since it's a passing league, we need a pass-rush. -

Depending on J Taylor isn't smart at this point, nor is expecting big thing from Shawn 'this year I'm going all out' Crable. They definitely need some depth and quality at OLB. I wouldn't even characterize Burgess as an OLB...he's more of a 4-3 pass rushing specialist.I think Graham would be an awesome pick. He may have short arms, but he's a rock that can set the edge. There are players with better measurables, but I think Graham has the best skill set for OLB. -

Personally Im sick signing the old stop gap guys , I understand and support it to an extent , but we've been relying on that method way to long. I like the idea of bringing in that " old vet w/ something left in the tank " approach , but when thats all you do and it doesnt work , thats all your left w/. Old vets who havent worked out. If your talking about bringing in a Taylor to mentor a young OLB , fine no problem. But bringing in guys like Taylor for OLB (who isnt an every down backer right now ) , a TO or Torry Holt for rec when both are past their prime , when in fact theres Marshall whos on the block , it just doesnt make sense to me? The PATS need young studs , young playmakers to build and re-tool w/. And as for the OLB's in this draft Im on record in terms q's if their first round picks or not. I like all in the second , but none have seperated from the next. And Graham who played DEmost of the time in college , did in fact play a little OLB , and he wasnt good at all. I mean if you used the word terrible you'd be on point. If the PATS cant grab a stud by one falling to them or trading up , then Id like to see them trade out to around 33-36. If this draft was as deep as everyone says it is then you wouldnt have everyone and the mother trying to get out of the first. It'll be hard because of the reason I just stated , but I see no reason in paying a second round guy , first round money.
