With 2 teams till last week at 13-0, not a peep from Morris so far this year. During the 07 season, all the media had the guy after every game after the Pats were 9-0....

In 2007 people found out just how annoying Mercury Morris is. ESPN must have gotten a lot of calls about him. Especially after that ridiculous rap he did. -

Something I wonder with his heavy talk in 2007 and lack of his crap talk this year is how much he feared the fact that the Pats did look like they really were going to do it.
Think about it - he probably got scared it was over for his dumb team and wanted to talk crap all the way until the end.
The Pats dominated teams on offense and defense like nobody else we've seen - Colts and Saints, neither, looked as good as that team. They didn't have that feeling of inevitability like the Pats. Altho they didn't win the SB, it took what was quite possibly the greatest play in SB history to beat the Pats. -

The play you refer to was multiple holding & facemasking non-calls. It was BS. The NFL Network knew it & cropped the video. Might as well be Mother Russia.

tartarus nailed it. Nobody is interested in listening to a washed-up ex-con who will talk just to hear his own voice. It was always telling to me to see that Morris was really the only member ot the '72 Dolphins that was/is so vocal about the undefeated team. The truth is you could take this year's Cleveland Browns and mop up the field with the '72 Dolphins. -

In all reality, there is no reason for any of the '72 Phins alumni to talk until a team gets to 18 - 0 and playing in the SB. The Pats were the first to get that far, making those folks keep the champagne on ice until 35 seconds were left in SB42. As it stands, outside of not winning the SB, the Pats have eclipsed that team for the best start in a season by going 18 - 0. Fortunately for the Phins, glue was not on the helmets of players back then!! LOL! -

But the reason you don't see him is because it's the media darling Colts and the sob-story Saints. Everyone wanted to see the Pats stumble outside of NE (and inside of Bristol, CT), so it was fun to laugh at the crackfiend. Nobody wants to hear him smack talk the lily-white good ol' boys or that poor Katrina riddled team...nobody except for me, perhaps.
I say good for him, let him have his moment. What else does he have to look forward to, the great retirement plan the NFLPA has set up for older players? -
