    Where's the love for Deion?

    Where is it?
Deion is on pace for 900 yards, and is currently 28th in the league. Those who are crying about not having a good 3rd option need to get over it......Deion is it.
Dude has shown time and time again that if you don't want to respect him, he'll roast you.
The Patriots don't need an other wide receiver....they just need the o-line to dominate the line of scrimmage on a consistent basis, and this offense will ROLL.

Re: Where's the love for Deion?

It's about new toys for alot of people. Look at last week, Welker gets like 150 yards and 2 TDs, Gronk another 100 and a TD and you come on here and everyone is complaining that Price didn't play. If the Pats pulled Welker and Gronk and let some newbie like Underwood play the whole game he would eventually get some stats and everyone would go crazy for a 50 yard performance and their would be threads for days on him being the next Mike Wallace or whatever. Deion, Welker, Gronk, Hernandez...so what, I want to worry about the guy at the end of the bench instead of the players on the field.

Re: Where's the love for Deion?

technically, he is the #2 receiver behind Welker....and it's unusual to have a slot receiver as a #1.

If it weren't for Gronk and Hernandez as receivers, the Patriots would be in a world of hurt.

From what I can remember (haven't looked at box scors) Branch was inconspicuously absent in the early part of the season and has only come back in the past 3-4 games; which bodes well for us. He still doesn't lengthen the field or put any fear into opponents secondary.

Let's hope that he has brings up his game a notch during playoffs like prior years.

Branch is an average receiver who happens to have a very good rapport with Tom Brady

The biggest problem is that Welker and Branch are both slot receivers - what you hear people complaining about is that the Pats have no deep threat - and the creates a problem for the offense they are trying to run - most defenses are now flooding the center of the field between the hash marks to deny the passing lanes for the short/intermediate routes that had been the Pats bread and butter since the Ravens game last year

The Pats stretched the field in the 1st half against the Eagles - the results was they backed off from playing so close to the line and that opened up the underneath routes - the Patriots slaughtered them with it

This is what they need to do more of - obviously Taylor Price is not the answer - let's hope Tiquan Underwoods hands get better and he catches the next open ball coming his way
