    ingram for sure.

Rogers is the best pass catcher though.  Could replace Faulk.

Anyone i can get with one of my seconds or the last of my firsts.

There are some good DE/OLB types coming out next year, and as long as we don't have to burn Oakland's pick for Ingram, I'm OK using our 1st or one of our seconds on someone off the above list.

    I'll bite on DeMarco Murray.

don't like Ingram. I think he is too slow for the NFL and is poor in pass protection. Iffy hands. I will say he goes late rd #2 or #3 next draft.
Pats will draft DL and OL help in round #1 and maybe think RB in RD's #2 or #3.
Looking at the list at the top of the posting, none of the RB's are top 10 at this time. As the season plays out, maybe something changes.

which de/olb types should we be watching?

romeus got a lot of chatter leading up to the last draft, but i did not think he was impressive last weekend.

I'm with Z in that I'd prefer they don't draft a 1st round back.  I am a big fan of Devine however, though he too might play his way into round 1 as well.  The kid is tough, can catch the football and is explosive with the ball in his hands....

would you say the same if there's a rookie salary cap?
what if rb is by far the best player available on the board?...could well be the case if oak does 8-8

If there is a rookie salary cap in place prior to the draft I am moving where I want (including up, which I have always loathed) to get who I need. Statistically speaking, RBs with great success tend to come from the first two rounds, and as such I think you have just as good a shot in the bottom of the first or second as you do anywhere but top five.

    Daniel Thomas.

Greg Cooper is not even the best back at Miami, what made him look good was Javarris James

Devine, could be available in the 2nd round, because i hope our 1st round pickas are for a DE/OLB and our other 2nd round pick is a offensive lineman. here's who I would take if they were available. (all round projections are from CBS draft guide)

    First round

    1. Cameron Heyward, DE, Ohio State (Senior)
    Height: 6’6″ Weight: 288 Projection: 1st Round

    2. Robert Quinn, DE/OLB, North Carolina (Junior)
    Height: 6’5″ Weight: 260

    Second round

    3. Nate Solder, OT, Colorado Height: 6-9. Weight: 305    40 Time: 4.84

    4. Noel Devine, RB, West Virginia Height: 5'8" weight 176

Re: Which RB would you rather draft?

very much will depend on next years free agency.

DeAngelo Williams comes to my mind, the wide reciever class has something to offer and i´m sure the could very well find one or two good defensive players to shore up the D. Keep in mind a new CBA could exclude things like the tags and so these guys next year would be all on the market. i don´t know what exact salary structure the pats have right now but with all the young guns i think there could be room for two or three good pick ups.let´s see who of the young guns emerges this year, add Williams, someone like sims-walker and a D-line player in addition to the returns of Bodden and Warren and then draft for the next run on the super bowl in 2012.

I think we need more of a punishing back like dillion or steven jackson. This guy seems too small to me.

Re: Which RB would you rather draft?

    DeMarco Murray...by a landslide

Daniel Thomas IS someone to keep an eye on, but right now, The guy plays like a fullback--The exact size I want, but SEVERAL very unpolished aspects to his skill-set (to put it extremely lightly).

Noel Devine runs and moves like a jitterbug demon...and drafting him is completely st#pid.  5'8 and 176lbs, And Even on a bigger O-Line like Philly or Dallas, is d#mb enough, BUT with NE's smaller built for agile pass-blocking & with their zone run-blocking O-Line, It's sheer insanity.  No inside threat for 1 gapping DTs while Brady steps up, No great outside threat (because that's ALL Devine'll be able to do) with smaller NE OTs, to turn the corner outside....krikees, are you people o.k.?

Mark Ingram is touted as the next Marcus Allen, and thus-Watching him so far, that only makes him the most overrated Runningback of all-time.  And gimme-a-freakin'-break, You people wanna use in most probability, a Top 12 Selection, in order to get him (a MUST to secure Ingram)...lmao.  A Top 12-15 spot is, and SHOULD be used on a #1-Top Three 3-4 DE, OR #2-The Nation's Best 3-4 Outside Linebacker (strong or pass-rushing specialist-NE needs BOTH), OR #3-The Nation's #1/#2 Wide Receiver, who can hopefully at least attempt to replace Randy Moss in the future @ the #1 wideout spot.  NE hasn't had such a low selection in like a decade...wasting it on Ingram=D#mb.  Wasting it on ANY RB=D#mber.

~DeMarco Murray-Don't like him running somewhat upright, & don't like his lateral cutting ability extremely well, AND I'm VERY worried about a past hamstring (or knee?) injury last year for Murray.
BUT in this very weak RB class, NE just very well might, Be able to get a VERY good interior running RB, with the first of NE's two 2nd Rders.  Murray=6'1 and 215lbs (I'd ideally want him @ 220-225lbs)...BUT this guy runs hard, with very good lean, YET he has EXCELLENT field vision and EXCELLENT tackle breaking ability (even @ just 215lbs right now), AND these superb skills imo, Do Much to abate my concerns RE: Somewhat Upright running style (w/ his good lean & tough running), Along with his just average (or just above-average) Lateral change of direction quickness (w/ his very good tackle breaking & fantastic eyes as the play unfolds @ gametime speed).
His field vision alone, is trully absurd imho.  Very, VERY good pass-catching RB last year (forget the p-catching stats, but they were extremely good).  Think DeMarco Murray, THINK-Very versatile-Between the Tackles, Pass-Catching, Field Vision and a 4.4 speed has shown that he's good enough to be an interior threat, an outside threat, a p-catching threat, and pass-blocking for Sam Bradford (also Sooners O-Line's abilities for any & all run-blocking has simply s#cked as of late).
Again though, Previous Injuries Worry me greatly....but hey: Lawrence Maroney came outta college @ Minnesotta with a perfect bill'a health, so whad'does that matter, right?

Color me politically incorrect, but for some reason I get the feeling a guy named "Jacquizz" will spend most of the season playing with himself.
