"Over the past five years we've had to defend our wins amongst endless whining."

Why? You haven't had to defend anything unless you want to. The Colts are a great team and earned those wins as far as I'm concerned. Who cares what myopic fans might say? The irony of your post, of course, is that you frequently cast aspersions against the Pats super bowl seasons, then you find yourself on the defensive later. Did it ever occur to you that if you granted the legitimacy of your competitor's wins you might get more of that mutual respect back in return?

I went to that Colts forum and saw a bunch of pathetic posts about how the Pats beats the Colts "practice squad" due to injuries. That's such weak stuff. As long as your quarterback is healthy, in today's NFL you have no excuse. Pats have a huge number of significant injuries as well.

Of course, the difference between me and the Colts trolls in this forum is I was able to resist the temptation to go in the forum and act like an idiot.

I read through some of those posts and it seems the Colt fans only argument is the # of penalties.. I see little actual supporting data or evidence that it should have gone any other way.

The bottom line is that Peyton did not get a bunch of gift holding and pass interference calls and he lost.

AS for 'whining' form anyone ... the Pats fans are not the only fanbase to ocmplain about The Colts and Manning getting favorable calls during games.. I've read posts and articles from other teams as well.

You guys are funny.  They're doing what you guys do after every loss to the Colts.  Remember last year?  All we heard was how the 4th and 2 spot was off by a yard, and the PI penalty against Butler was wrong.  This year's game seemed pretty well called (as was last year's).  These Colt fans are exhibiting poor sportsmanship to be sure, but that's been this forum for years.  Heck, y'all started complaining about poor calls a week before the game on this forum!  As for me, I'm one Colt fan who will say congrats to the Pats - they deserved to win this game.

Just for the record .....the Colts did get help from the officials.  The third down pass to Branch was clearly interference and the offiicial did not make the call. \
This was confirmed by a picture posted on the net with the ball a good 4 feet from the receiver and the colt defender arm was already pulling down Branch's arm.
When is it going to stop......I ask the NFL when the f this preferential treatment is going to stop.

It will stop when Manning retires, and the league chooses someone else to exalt. I don't know if there are any actual NBA fans left -- and I'm certainly not equating the subliminal (to be kind) helping hand the Colts get with the kind of blatant shenanigans that go on in David Stern's league -- but Petyon Manning is the NFL equivalent of LeBron James. He's a great player, but the league doesn't want a great player, it wants a larger-than-life marquee attraction, and if their guy needs a little help along the way, he's sure as hell going to get it.

In Response to Re: Whining Colt's Fans : i think Rondo is overrated, he landed in a great spot playing w/ 3 future HOF's.  his outside shooting is a major weakness.  better pay attn to the job LEGEND is doing here in Indiana. Granger (all-star), Collison, Hibbert (playing like an all-star center), hansbrough, many young players, and almost 30 million cap space next year. celtics window is closing, the pacers window looks like it will be open for the next decade.

How many titles do the Pacers have?????????????? Danny pull something out of his Azz to keep the Celts good for years...Oh ya Rondo the best PG in the NBA

    LMFAO!

There is absolutely NOTHING new about how Old Payaton and his stable buddies always get that nefarious PI call at a critical time in the game to save their chance to win. It's like the huge white elephant in teh middle of the dining room that the NFL (as well as Dolt fans) doesn't ever see, but the fans do. When compared to other PI's called or NOT called during the same game, one can only scratch their heads.

I suggest you sit in a sports bar game environment with a bunch of fans who don't have a dog in the fight (aren't Dolt fans or the opposing team fans), and listen to them. Then, take a step back and figure it out for yourself.

Thus, we Pats fans start posts about howm many PI calls are going against them, especially those "phantom" ones. We know before the game starts that this will probably (make that "more then likely") happen during the game, especially if the game is played in your barn.

Speaking of THE Pat's penalty, did you see last night's MNF game? See where the Bolts scored, everyone (Bolts players) danced in the end zone, and one player knocked the refs hat off his head and NO celebration call was made? Nice! VERY nice! But I doubt if the NFL actually thinks that the fans are intelligent enough to see the inconsistency in stuff like this.

3 INT's isn't a good thing. The Dolts lost, accept it, and move along, little doggie. I, too, hope, hope, hope that these teams meet up again in the playoffs. That's a much different environment for BB and his coaching staff to come up with a game plan to beat your one trick ponies.  But first, you have to make teh playoffs. The Dolts look to have their hands full if they are going to do that.  But, then again, if they don't make it, you've got your "look at the injuries" whine to fall back on.

    LMFAO!

"I hope, hope, hope the Colts meet the Pats in the playoffs".

Do you realize that if the Colts win the AFC South and we get the wildcard, we would play in Indy?  Even if we have a much better record, as the wildcard winner, we'll travel to Indianapolis.  Then....  You'll hear some whining!

In Response to Re: Whining Colt's Fans : what is it with you guys ripping indiana.  i know many of you hate the Colts, and apparently Indy.?  The pacers?  one of the best teams for a decade with Reggie Miller, the heated knicks vs pacers rivalries in the late 90's, the only team to take the Bulls to 7 during their dominance led by one Larry Legend, who without this hoosier hero the Celts would likely have not won many if any titles during the 80's. indy hosts the final four once every 5 years, we host the SB next year, indy 500, great colleges like IU, Purdue, Butler, and Notre Dame. anyone who knows a thing or two about the NBA should bite their lip b4 calling the pacers losers.  after KG, Ray, and PP retire, things are not going to be good for the Celts, and Legend is doing a remarkable job here with the pacers after the entire brawl incident with Detroit. as far as Indy, we should consider ourselves so lucky living in a great city such as this; there are alot worse places to wake up in the morning. Go Colts!

    LMFAO!

The absolute BEST you can come up with, except for the NCAA's Final Four and the Indy 500 is a history of ultimate LOSING. If you recall, Bird won NOTHING until he went to Boston. The Pacers, WITH Reggie, won.... NOTHING! Your colleges? Ok, Mr History, tell us all the last time ANY of them, in ANY sport, was, like, relevent? We'll be waiting a while for that answer.

Enjoy your misery, while thinking it's heavenly bliss. You'll never know the difference, which is probably good for you.

In Response to Re: Whining Colt's Fans : oh yea, the afc east has been so dominate for the last 10 years.  i mean the J-E-T-S jets jets jets have been M-I-A since when.. parcells left?  the phins.. since marino left.. and parcells took over.. and the bills.. well.. LMAO. yea.. so much dominance over the last decade.  and yet you have had the Jags, Texans, and Titans who are probably at least overall .500 for the last decade. get your facts straight before posting this BS please.
    Posted by ColtsPacersFan1

Funny things those pesky FACTS are, eh, Indy? Seeing how you are "factually challenged", you asked for them:

Since the 2000 season, these are the regular season winning percentages of the teams in the AFC East and AFC South:

    Patriots: .700
    Dolphins: .538
    JESTS!: .500
    Bills:  .413

    Dolts:  .719
    Titans: .569
    Jaguars: .475
    Texans: .383

Overall, the AFC East has a better winning percentage over the last 10 years. Not by much, but better.

Not much to chose from there, Sparky. Plus, the Texans, while needing the Mt Polomar telescope to find their miniscule winning percentage as an EXPANSION TEAM, haven't been around for 10 seasons yet, and your Big Bad Dolts have feasted on them twice a season, undoubtedly padding the Dolts regular season records, as well as Old Horse face's stats.  Where the rbber meets the road is where it counts: playoffs and championships. Out of these 8 teams, only two have won championships, and we know how many for each or, do you need to be reminded that "3" is more than "1"?).

So, next time, do some homework before coming on this board to get throughly schooled.

    Class dismissed.

I don't give a rats @$$ about the Pacers.  I don't give one about the state of Indiana either.  Looks like it is divided between ratty and backward.  Whatever.  I'm not interested in you yahoos moving out of Indiana, but I sure wish you would move out of Boston.com.  Your team (the Sparkly Eunuchcorns) makes me wretch.  Your pact with Satan is drawing to a close.  If you EVEN want to attempt to pretend your division has been as good as the AFC east for the last 10 years, just name ALL the division winners from your Division for those years.
