Interesting stat that Eli is less effective when teams rush 4 or less than he is when they send more. Perhaps the lack of blitzing will pay off against Eli Manning, who has a plus-36 touchdown-to-interception differential since Super Bowl XLII against five or more pass rushers (plus-16 vs four or fewer).

Intersting.

Thats the same with Brady too...it's a matter of actually getting pressure which just four or less

Why don't you guys just ignore Patsfansince1966. I did, all i can see are your replies to him. We all know he's going to post something about how none of this matters, even though he has 1000's of his own posts and that he checks almost every thread. I bet he replies to this too.

Can't see if you reaffirming my point or disagreeing. Im assuming you're agreeing.

Most if not all QBs are in huge trouble if a team can apply constant pressure with 4 or less rushers

right, thats the key.. they have been getting more pressure without the blitz of late, hopefully they can do the same again. if wilfork can play like he did against the ravens that would be huge.

in the 3-4 they can keep sending four and have the nyg OL keep guessing where the fourth rusher is coming from.

isnt Edelman playing only in the dime unless injury?
Has anyone noticed Criuz long arming the catch in traffic? he makes the catch, but with his arms totally extended. he is definately avoiding contact and has one eye on the defender, although he does make the catch.
seems to me the best tactic is physicality. also seems to jam him and take him off his route the first 5 yards, and turn and be fast enough to cover him, thebest bet is Edelman, no? Just because he was not able to out physical Boldin, does not mean he cant Cruz.
Not a fan of seeing how Smith was wide open deep on at least two plays...Manning probably wouldve hit those for touchdowns. Im going to assume Moore and Arrington will duties will be Nicks and Manningham. Chung will probably be overtop...but we can't possibly have edleman on underneath routes to Cruz Why is Molden on this team anyways, if he can't even beat out Edelman
Posted by dapats1281
nicks and cruz could light it up all day.
better knock them on their butt off the line on every play, and if you cant do that, mug them, they're not calling anything anyway.

Given what the Pats are dealing with re: Pats D, Giants O, I think we'll see a lot of zone but with quite a bit of vintage BB disguises.  Be very tough to cover that trio of wideouts in a man scheme with who the Pats have in the secondary.  No disrespect intended to the guys back there; just a tough cover for 'em.

DBS are going to need to play the corners very physical IMO
