    Who is Vaughn Martin?

The Chargers drafted the 6'4" 298 FB/DT/DE with pick #113 in the 4th round. This pick intrigues Wink people like me.

I hope you see him on 3rd & 1 at the goal line.

It would be interesting. 6'3" 330 against a front of Warren, Brace, Wilfork, Seymour, and whatever else (I guess AD, Mayo, McKenzie, Chung, Meriweather, Springs, and Wright/Green/Pryor).

Hmmmm pick 113?  I guess that means we passed on him 10 times.  thanks for Ron Brace though, we'll make sure he stops Vaughn Martin on that 3rd and 1

The Pats defensive picks were very much focused on short conversion and improving the defensive secondary. Pryor is the only one who comes close to being a pass rusher.

I know. So can Fred Taylor and Sammie Morris. I wouldn't do it, though. The FB position is overrated.

    Re: Who is Vaughn Martin?

Vasquez and Ellison were their best picks. Ellison is a great value way down there. He is so big. At the very least they get a jumbo package SS for the price of a data-entry clerk.

Vasquez is exactly the kind of road-grader OL that SD uses. They will mask his weaknesses. And he will keep making SD's RB's look good.

I like English as a prospect, but think 16th was reachy for a kid like him. But then everything after Malcom Jenkins and before Eric Wood was kind of reachy. Jeremey Maclin not withstanding.

At least it spells out to you what I said half way through the season about Merriman being no sure thing going down the road.

Thanks for Ron Brace!!! Best of luck trying to get past him.

    Ron who?

Oh, you'll remember his name soon enough. He is the steal of the round for NE. And I am practically roommates with Chung and Butler I like em so much. ATL should have taken him instead of Jerry. In two years Jerry will be on the block and Brace will be a stud NT.

Including playoffs SD won 9 games, NE won 11.  Good year to have KC, Den, and Oak in your division
