Who WIns The Los Angeles Sweepstakes?

A stadium agreement is in place all that is needed is a tenant, who will that tenant be? http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-31751_162-20025900-10391697.html

can't see another team mvoing to LA, they've learned their lesson, the only way they get a team is a mercy expansion team, the same time one is handed to the London Monarchs

Re: Who WIns The Los Angeles Sweepstakes?

If anyone goes, it's probably the Jagwires, but I'm inclined to agree with KP that no one will. Revenue streams are different now, and it makes sense to have a team in your second-largest TV market. A team in Los Angeles could probably make money playing in front of empty seats, but does the league really want that? Fans in LA have shown that they could take or leave the NFL in the past. I'm not sure what, exactly, indicates that anything has changed.

The veiled threat of a potential move to Los Angeles will probably get stadium financing bills hammered through in places like San Dago and Minneapolis. Jacksonville is simply not an NFL market, and I don't really know what is happening between Buffalo and Toronto.

I just got an email stating I won the Nigerian Sweepstakes.  I'm stoked, all's I have to do is send Nabooto a fully refundable security deposit of $10,000.

In a shocking development, Raiders move back to LA.  Now if LA can trade away the Clippers, they might be a legit sports town.

Have the Clippers move to Cincinnati and call them the Canoes.

It looks like the Vikings will have to do something in any case, that roof collapse has certainly got to have them worried. They do have a good fan base, so I can see them getting a stadium deal passed there. The Chargers are a different story. I doubt the taxpayers in CA will support any of their money being put into a stadium when their own governments are broke. The Jags seem like the likeliest choice. I doubt the Bills will move while Ralph Wilson is still alive. It's hard to envision an expansion team unless there are one in each conference. The 32 team setup works well. How would they handle one division with five teams? I think it's a tossup between SD and Jacksonville. The Chargers could justify the move easier saying it was only 100 miles away.

As we speak the state of Minnesota is running a $6 billion deficit. The good news is that the Indian casino-friendly Democractic congress was ushered out in the last election, and there may be renewed support for gaming exapnsion to raise stadium revenue. The bad news is those wacky flatlanders -- you know, the ones who like to elect the Al Franken's and Jesse Ventura's of the world to public office -- put a Republican majority in the state congress and elected a Democratic governor.

Ultimately, I don't think the Vikes are going anywhere, but if there is a way to f*ck this up . . .   trust me . . .   Minnesota will think of it.

Ralph Wilson will auction off the Bills to the highest bidder shortly after his demise. The Jags have poor attedence, if any team were to move it might be them. I can't see the Chargers going anywhere. Uncle Al Davis is pretty much up for anything so he remains the wild card in all this talk about an L.A. team.

I'm thinking (it happens lol) that it will be either the Raiders or Chargers to keep the divisions balanced. Say the Bills go do they stay in the AFC East or do we have a 5 and a 3 team division?
