The pundits will have you believe the Ravens lost and nothing more. They will say we played a terrible game, but if the Ravens won this way it would be a great grind it out victory. Who cares what the media says? It's the same every day

The fab 4 on the post game show actully looked kind of disgusted with how the end of the game played out.

Who freaking cares what the pundits think. It was a great team win with both sides of the ball playing shaky at times but the team got it done. Why should the Pats feel bad that the Ravens missed a field goal. The Pats have heart and have been winning ugly all year long. I could care less if they win the superbowl the same way and they are called the worst team to ever win a super bowl. In fact I am going to enjoy the Pats hater's crying all week about the dropped td and the missed field goal. Reminds me of the Chargers win in 2006. The Pats played sloppy all game but got the win, absolutely shocking the Chargers. The Pats lost the turnover battle and still won, go figure.

they didn't play well and still beat a very good team, chances are that they will play much better in two weeks. can't wait to see dilfer and all of these other doubters eat some crow.

And the Ravens record of 7-0 against playoff teams just switched to 7-1.

THAT is SO true.  They had to try REAL hard to say nice things about the Patriots.  "The Jaw" must have been livid with the way this game ended!

Can you imagine if the offense DID play well?  The way they played today was something we did not expect.  As I said in another discussion..  the offense just did not have that "pop" they usually do, almost like they played scared.

Did you expect them to score 45 against the best defense in the league?

yeah, they usually bounce back strong and should play great in the superbowl. the close win probably helps them for the big game.

Ne has beaten a handful of teams with winning records.

How many 8-8 teams would have been 9-7 if NE hadn't beaten them?

No I did not...  they certainly did not play as well as they could, though.  As noted in other strings, some interesting play calling.

Re: Why cant the Pats beat a team with a winning record?

I honestly thought the Pats would win this by two scores.  I was thinking ten points.  Shows what I know.

Flacco played a really, really good game.  And Ray Lewis still closes when it matters.

That the Pats could win this one like this bodes well for the big game.
