Offense really struggled today setting any pace. I felt TB had good time in the pocket but couldn't find a recevier. The balance on play calling was OK, running game never really got going.
Any thoughts?

The Jets defense played good. Make fun of Rex all you want but he can coach a defense or has everyone forgotten the 2010 playoffs.

For some reason, the WR and TE on the Pats do not get open. Rarely is there a play where someone is running wide open. For a team with arguably the most talented personnel on offense, that is surprising. The Offense doesn't look very smooth and even the passes that are completed, Brady has to spread the needle. The passes to Lloyd look very forced. Lloyd always has managed to get open with the Broncos and Rams in the past 3 years, but now he can''t seem to get any separation.

I think it was a combination of things: bad playcalling, receivers not getting separation, Brady making a few poor throws, and the Jets playing good D.
We won, which is what ultimately matters, but they definitely need to find their groove on offense (it seems to have disappeared since the Denver game).

Bill Belichick could learn a thing or two from Rex when it comes to defense.

Lloyd is wretched - so they are playing 10 versus 11.
And Brady has not played well all season.
Play calling stinks too

I think we need more of a down filed threat to help open up all the under neath stuff TB throws.

Would you rather have Ochocinco, Reche Caldwell or Branch out there?

I'de say it's 40 % play calling ,20% Brady not playing his best football, 15% running is not consistent , 15% on the WR's.
10% the o-line when push comes to shove doesn't protect Brady enough
The good news the play calling and Brady could get better.

A lot is just a matter of execution.
Ridley needed to toss that flea-flicker back quicker. If he does, it's a TD to Hernandez. Lloyd and co. had a number of drops, and there were some protection issues.
There isn't some systematic, deep-rooted flaw -- it's just a matter of executing better are a more regular basis.

Lloyd had a really bad game, no doubt about it...but he has been fine so far this season. Hopefully, he will bounce back next week.

Gafney is better than Lloyd.

this isnt something new....statistically they are the best offense in the afc, but they certainly left alot of points out there on the field....at least they were able to come out with the win tonight....they should have beat the jets handily, but a loss to the jets would have been sickening, so im glad/relieved that they pulled it out.

Maybe Gaffney is better as a between the numbers, intermediate route-runner. But as an outside the hashes type of guy who can get open and make tough catches, Lloyd is much better, and one of the better receivers in the league.
He just needs to hang onto the ball.

That is certainly what he was billed as, but He looks like Hart Lee Dykes out there.

The offense didn't struggle. Even missing the best CB in the NFL, the Jets pass D is still among the best in the NFL. Even without their top 2 NTs the Jets stuffed the run often.

Great defense still beats great offense in the NFL. That is what happened to the Pats last week in Seattle.
Fortunately for the Patriots, mediocre defense beats bad offense, so their D was able to stop the Jets when they really needed it.

Receivers are getting very little separation this year, and dropping too many balls. The running game has not been effective in any of our losses and this recent near loss.
