    The dolphins would not have gone undefeated if they had to play a HS team that season. That's how sad the oposition was that year.

    I'm a lifelong Patriots fan, I saw the 70s teams and was religious fan during the 80s especially. The 18-1 Pats team is the best team or most dominating team ever assembled, including the '86 Bears. However, there is no way you can go perfect in a season, win the Super Bowl, and not be called unique. The 1972 were under-rated, not overrated. The Pats proved that by losing the SB v. Giants. You just don't go perfect. There's always something, some bump in the road, and the '72 Dolphins never got the bump, they won them all. The dissing of the '72 Dolphins is beyond belief. They are royalty, I respect them, and I hate the fricken Fins.
