Enoch...   it seems lost on many folks is the fact if the opening second half kick-off weren't returned for a touchdown, the blocked FG attempt not returned for a touchdown and the Chung INT were not returned for a touchdown, these are three opportunities the offense would have had to chew up the clock, add to their yardage stats and keep the ball away from the Phins.  With the limited possessions Brady and the offense had, they were very efficient.  All told, those were three TDs that only chewed up about 30 or so seconds on the clock versus potentially the same 3 TDs, if scored by the offense, would have chewed up 10 - 15 minutes on the clock plus an added 150 to 200 yards of O.  Was that lost on many folks?

We won the game in a blowout fashion, what isn't there to be "elated: about?

We answered our big time questions.
Can we score and make second half adjustments? 35 points scored, 7 allowed sounds good.

Can we win on the road? 41-14 in Miami, a place that we have notably struggled at sounds about right.

What is there to hate? McCourty did an excellent job keeping Marshall at bay for the entire first half. our D stepped up when needed, caused turnovers and the Missile was a play-maker. If you don't know who the missile is, its #25, Pat Chung, AKA the Missile.

In Response to Re: Why is everyone so elated? : Don't expect the third down D to get much better. That is not the way BB's defense works. That is why it is call bend but don't break. BB's D doesn't care about any stat except the score. It doesn't care if you go 70% on your third down percentage as long as you don't score. It just wants you to have enough plays that you make a mistake it can capitalize on. Such as a pick or a fumble.

Eventually these young guys will pick up game speed and we'll start stopping them on third downs, until then we'll have to be satisfied holding them to field goals.
