    Fact:

If all these players were accounted for in the 2013 AFC Title game, NE coasts into the SB and gives Seattle all it can handle:

    Vince

    Kelly

    Mayo

    Vollmer

    Gronk

    Spikes

    Talib

    Coasts.

No argument from me on that.  But aren't you sounding like the Bronco fans who are blaming the SB loss on injuries?

No. At the end of the day, this sport, as is hockey are really sports of attrition. It's part of the game.

I am just not going to let a troll or a moron come in here and pretend what opened 2013 season, (with a little luck in the injury dept), that this club was not some force to be recokned with, because it was clear by the time Gronk returned, and that D being healthy...whoa.

I wouldn't have been shocked if they ran the table after, say Cincy, especially seeing how the backups looked pushed into more reps. The depth was there, the starting quality disappeared.

We lost WAY more than Denver, too, by the way.

I was responding to Bustchise, the legendary INBRED, who claims no one sees NE as heavy favorite to come out of the AFC every year as the best run franchise, best coach and arguably the best QB in the game. Each is considered arguably the best of all time for chrissakes and he thinks winners are lining up to go to the Jets.

    His jealousy is a delight.

It's preposterous to pretend a 30 year old FA isn't telling his agent to call NE to see what's going on every year, because that's exactly what they do.

Where we have obvious needs and a veteran presence, those agents are making calls into NE, not to the NY Jets.

Ok, got ya.  I agree with your post.

+1 - add the fact the Pats got all the way to the AFCCG and laid a fat egg with the team they had to finish the season.  After soundly defeating the Colts, how they failed to even come up close in the AFCCG is a head scratcher.  What-iffing does no good at this point.

JayZ first option for every client is NY. Even Cano. That didnt work, but he pitches Suh to you know who in NY (hint: not Mara)

Have you seen the Jets QB situation?  Why would he walk from Detroit and Staffordd/Megatron, etc, who at least gives them a chance to score points to go to the Jets?

You are obsessed with the Jets. Did you not just deny earlier that you don't talk about the Jets constantly? lol

Dude, no one who is a good player who wants to win a SB is going to the NY Jets. Detroit may be in rough shape, but they're currently better off than the Jets.

Suh either wants hold his leverage on Detroit and force their hand so he can cash in and never sniff a chance at the SB. Or, he can force their hand and leave as a FA after 2014, where Det would probably and predictably trade him then.

This may be a year off, now that I think about it.

No, this is the year some thing is done. You see, you dont understand the cap, and as usual you are wrong. Suh is not on the books for $12m as you say, he is on the books for $22m.

A cap charge is not the same as what he's owed in 2014, stupid.

    http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/writer/pat-kirwan/24440015/is-trading-ndamukong-suh-a-good-move-for-cap-challenged-lions

    From Rotoworld:

     2014: $11.55 million, 2015: $3.505 million (Voidable Year), 2016: Free Agent

Who cares what he is "owed". The cap charge is everything. He is on the books at $22m against the cap. Period

Because with them rebuilding the cap charge if he plays or is dealt is not what the check of 11.5 million is. The cap hit is not real money, dumbo. It's only how that player counts under the cap on that team.  They can spend a year in cap purgatory, which they are, and rid themselves of another huge contract they simply can't afford.

The only teams who should be caring about a "cap charge" are ones who are SB contenders, where they teambuild is, and if they can add key FAs under the cap or not. That's where the cap hits matter and what they are at that time.

Detroit is in no way in that position in a cap hell right now. Shh, don't tell HUrlie. LOL

He gets 11.5 on the roster past June 1 and the cap charge is 22 short of an extension. Take the year to eat the cap hit and draft well, clear your books for 2015.

    Simple.

A wise GM would not only consider that strongly, but if a good deal came in return for draft picks to double ddown in a deep draft, say in Rds 2 and 3, voila, there is a possible base of your rebuild.

I am light years, LIGHT YEARS, ahead of you on these concepts.

They have a new coach, new bodies everywhere, so they ain't contending for a SB.

Again, be wise and deal or stupid and overpay and prolong the poor teambuilding.

    Carolina - Peppers...FAIL

    NE - Seymour...SUCCESS

The cap bit detirmines if he is extended or dealt. Any team he is dealt to assumes the cap hit

Nice dribbled out, feeble response. LOL

Tell us why the Arizona Cardinals can't deal FItzgerald. Who takes the cap hit there of 20 million, the new team or Arizona?

He only knows what he can read online...or what he overhears those who DO know football discuss...Don't argue with this phony cretin, he's as sad as BUST-CHISE....at least BUST-CHISE loves being a Jets Troll..this phony can't admit it!

He also comes off very insecure as does Mt Hurl.  Mt Hurl and he are both huge Jets supporters, the Jets are morons when it comes to handling the cap, Hurlie and RKrap both feel there is no cap, no cap hell, and I've been the one in here for years talking about how Carolina made a mistake not dealing Peppers for a 1st rd pick. This is the same example. Same thing.

Now, highly respected cap master and BB buddy, Pat Kirwan, writes a piece that makes a ton of sense, and somehow there is no opportunity to pounce here?

This is the whole point of why managing your cap matters.  This is cap hell. Detroit is in a cap hell!

SUh has Mayhew by the nads for as long as he wants, and a smart GM would eat 2014, take draft picks and move on.

We can do that.  It's just an idea, especially if VInce is down with a cut and resign or redduction with extension.

Mt HUrl is the same dummy who says there is no cap, no cap hell, Seymour was great in 2009 and beyond and we hould have rented him in 2009 and then paid him 14 per in 2010 into a lockout, etc.

    They just don't get it.

What's so insidious is not in not knowing, but being able to ADMIT it.....everyone can learn, not everyone is an expert in everything, even some subject you love and know alot about....but that's what happens when other self identity issues get invloved in the simple enjoyment of things...

This place gets more like the bar in Star Wars every day.

                                      KRAPPER directly above.

This is another pic for you KRAPPER!

love Star Wars where is Han is he drinking on another floor, they need to pay him to drive the MFALCON. Oh wait Lando we found out could drive it 2 ROLMAO !!

They are afraid to learn. I've seen the tactic before.

They're embarrassedd someone younger than them may know more or be more intelligent on a topic, so they lash out all insecurely.

Mt HUrl is infamous for it.

They behave that way to cover up for being insecure, hence the mocking.

Afraid to learn? Rusty I'd be willing to learn something, but the problem is you don't know what you're talking about. I hate to break it to you, but the whole board thinks you're a moron...and they're right.

What am I supposed to learn from you? That we are going to get the 7th overall selection in the draft for Mallet? That Patrick Chung shut down Victor Cruz all by himself? That Cunningham is a better player than Carlos Dunlap? That Brandon Merriweather is the second best safety in the entire AFC? Because these are all things you've preached over the last five years here. What else can you teach me? How not to have a job and post 300 times a day on here about salary cap hell, that doesn't exist? Sounds exquisite.

    Get a life.
