William Beatty OLT or the best available OT.
I'm with SB on this one. I think that they draft the best OT available. I think that they should only pay first round money on a quality pick. They can get a serviceble OLB in the second round with one of their two picks. A stud LB or CB will be off the board when they pick at 23 so I feel that you fill a need on the O line, especially by filling the need at OT.

Not Clay Matthews, I think he's good but not 1st round talent. He had an excellent defense around him and most every highlight I see of him he went unblocked. I'd rather take a chance on English or Barwin

I think any of these picks are solid picks. Don't know that much about Nicks. I never heard of him before the Bowl game? Pettigrew is a solid but is a blocking TE a 1st?

    I'll take English
(IF) he has the smarts he can cover Vrabel's spot DAYONE!! Although I think Mayo will be the player to line up everyone now.

Alphonso Smith is the sexiest pick. This kid is a PLAYMAKER. Not a cover then tackle guy.

Connor Barwin is my pick but IMO by the time we get to the draft he might not be there at 23, he's become the guy that's rising the fastest. He ran a faster 40 at his pro-day I don't think he'll be there at 23.

In this mock RM falls to the lions at 20. You have to wonder if he does do the pats move up to 20 and get a RM, that middle is as scary thought with Mayo and RM.

I agree with OT as long as it is a LT, draft at 23 a guy that's not good to be a LT is throwing the pick away.

I think Beatty could make a lot of sense, given that he plays an expensive and invaluable position, and is said to be an outstanding pass blocker. He also has the longest arms out of any OL in this draft.

At 34, Barwin, Matthews, English, Johnson, or Sintim will be there.

If Barwin and Maybin are gone at 23, I'd look very closely at Beatty, and gradually move Light over to right tackle.

    2002 21th pick - Daniel Graham
    2004 32nd pick - Benjamin Watson

It won't be the first they take a tight end in the first round. I just don't think BB would take the fourth or fifth OLB over the best TE on the board. They need pass-rushing but I just don't see a great one at at 23rd.
I think (sound like a broken record) BB loves best player on the board but 2002 and 2004 there weren't much needs in Defense for an ILB and OLB. Connor can be that goal line TE and with his speed can come in some packages. But if BB get Pedigree nobody might be happier than TB and would that even be fair, giving Tom another weapon? How long before the season begins?
