Given how Vereen played against the Texans I hope this doesn't put him back on the bench.  Woodhead is definitely one of the more underrated players on this team though.

yeah what a dilemmah! woodhead the roadrunnah or vareen the flash. me thinks it would take a helluva lot more than a jamed thumb to keep danny out of action. worst case they'll either wrap it or cast it but he's still gonna be out there. total bummer about the gronk though.

Woodhead's return doesn't necessarily signal the bench for Vereen, IMO.

any link to these rumours. I have a hard time believing he will be effective if he missed all of the last game. Maybe it's time for Vareen to continue to grow up and blossom. The Jones injury sucks but hopefully by the Super Bowl he will be back.

Yes, I noticed that too. But my thought was that if it's his left thumb his pass catching might me hampered, but he could still run and carry the ball in his right hand. This one isn't what concerns me, we have Vareen. It's the loss of Gronkowski that worries me. I think the Pats can get by the Ravens without him, but if they play SF they might need him to win. The good news is they've learned to game plan and play without him this year--unlike last year when he went down and there was no plan B.

Another arrow in the quill to get the Ravens!!  Man, if only Gronk did not get hurt again.  Oh what it could have been, but, as we saw yesterday, the Pats have the depth to overcome!
