would BB pull a shocker and trade for Mike Jenkins?

make the trade before the bye week. Jenkins is in shape and has been playing (sparingly). he should be healthy. 2010 alternate pro bowler. still young, yet experienced.

could be had for a 3rd or 4th rounder? even though Pats do not have a 5th and 6th (Albert and Ocho)

upside: young and talented. playing for a contract. size. speed. can play cover corner and slot.

downside: needs to learn the Pats defense. recently injury prone

    ...  recently injury prone."

Good points, but, that last...  that is a bad strike against this player and all the Pats need is someone who will be here today and gone tomorrow only to put them in a bind again to cover for another injured player.  Besides, if BB wanted him and the trade would be made, he'd be here now.

Some good points, but that last is a bad strike for this player. Why trade for someone who will be here today and on the injury list tomorrow? All the Pats need is to have to cover for another injured player. Besides, if BB wanted him, wouldn't he be here now?

I guess it would depend on how long Gregory, Chung and Ras will be out

The Cowboys need help on their O-line now to be competitive. No way they will trade Jenkins for a draft pick (OK a R1 maybe), they would want want help now.

How about trading away the rights to Brian Waters And a low draft pick?

or Jenkins and Dez Bryant for Waters and a higher draft pick.

Re: would BB pull a shocker and trade for Mike Jenkins?

I like the depth the Pats have in some areas but am coming around to think one good CB could turn everything around for the defense (and the team).

Have to ask where do they have depth and who needs the depth?

    Pats have:

RB's Ridely, Bolden,Vereen, and smal recievers/RB's like Edleman, Woodhead, Vereen

    TE's? (exclude Hern and Gronk)

Inexperienced CB's (let a young one go in trade for proven CB)

Rights to Brian Waters (good onlt for Dallas trade..Maybe N.O.)

What teams (not contenders in the AFC or teams in the AFC East) need these positions?

RKarp - Doubt it and based on this article. He seems more like an inside or slot corner - I'd prefer to see the Patriots trade for a legitimate outside corner assuming one were availalble.

What would you be willing to trade for him? A late round pick? With 2 injury prone secondary players already on the roster (Chung and Ras ) I am not sure I would give up a whole lot for another guy that has issues staying on the field.

the Waters thing has legs . Doesnt he want to play close to home...Texas.  I heard earlier he would want to play for Houston...how far is Dallas from Hoston?  a lot closer than Foxboro?

Yup..and NE would never allow Houston to get him...so Dallas is the only shot.. a team I don't think we will see in the SB.
