Would fifth MVP make Peyton Manning the best of all time?

The chances are that he will take the Bronco's to the Super Bowl. If he wins the SB and is named the SB MVP along with his record 5th League MVP he will be considered the GOAT. 2 SB wins 1 SB loss is not as good as pretty boy Brady but Manning will be the 1st QB ever to win 2 SB's with 2 different teams and along with his 5th MVP and 2nd SB MVP and along with all his countless records, he will be the GOAT.....Hands down. How does that make all you Brady ball sniffers feel?

The talk has already begun everywhere outside of NE.

Please feel free to tell us all why Peyton will still suck IF he wins it all.

Re: Would fifth MVP make Peyton Manning the best of all time?

He'll be the best Regular season QB ever but he won't be the best ever no. Montana, Bradshaw, and Brady would still be better, because in the end it's all about the rings and it's not like Manning didn't have top end talent around him either.

The best QB's perform when it matters most and Manning chocks on himself when the light is brightest. I mean seriously when Manning had a playoff bye he's 1-3 coming off that bye AT HOME! Playing outdoors in the playoffs he's 3-6, and 3 of those (2 wins) were in warm climate states. Manning has more 1 and dones in the playoffs than any other active QB. In one game in Den with the temp below 32 degrees he was 27 for 44 with an int for a sub 70 qbr. Sorry but you can't be the best all time with those types of numbers in the playoffs while spending a vast majority of your career in ideal conditions

Re: Would fifth MVP make Peyton Manning the best of all time?

First of all, he was gifted 3 MVP trophies already in 2003, 2008 and 2009. In both seasons, he was neither the best player, nor was he the player his team could least do without. 2003's MVP was Steve McNair, but Peyton was gifted a trophy. 2008's MVP was Philip Rivers, but they gave it to Peyton because the Colts won their last 4 games. What a joke!

2009, Drew Brees was the MVP, but why give up a chance to give Peyton another award? The writers make me sick, I wouldn't be surprised if they spat in Peterson's face and co-MVP him with Peyton just so they can give him another award.

MVP (MOST VULNERABLE PLAYOFFS) HE IS  great choke aritist when it comes down to "win or go home" 7 times 1 game and done, SEVEN TIMES, thats a joke in itself right there oh and the most playoff wins is tied right now between montana and brady, both with 16 wins and both with winning playoff records unlike gomer (who is 9-10 7x 1 and done), sorry but he is not the GOAT , I would not be surprised one bit if the ravens go to denver and make gomer 8x 1 and done, would not be surprised at all, oh by the way, how did them clots do sunday??

Before anyone answers that question why dont you tell us whether a 4th SB win and 6th SB berth will MAKE TB the best ever?

You know what makes a player the best ever? It is not statistics. It is not how many SBs his TEAM (yes TEAM) won. It is how good the player is.

I know, why dont you contemplate whether you are intelligent life or just a pest...

Mark Sanchez + Tim Tebow + Tannebaum = Jets ineptitude.  How does $20 million over the projected salary cap taste?  Probably not like a Nathan's hot dog.  Enjoy your long, slow rebuild corndog.

I'll bite on Manning.  Of course he is an all time great.  But his playoff record is probably what prevents him from being considered THE best QB ever.  As much as Pats fans like to boo Manning, they respect his status.

    Inferiority complex much?

Let me make sure I understand the question.  5 totally subjective trophies that are based on popularity and perceived regular season individual succes is the basis for determining the best of all time?

In answer to your question:  No.

His post season stats will not matter. He will win his 5th MVP and after he wins the SB he will be the ONLY QB in history to win a SB with 2 different teams. Thats something Montana or Brady will NEVER do. 5 MVP's (the 5th coming next month), 2 SB MVP'S (the second coming next month), the ONLY QB in the history of the league to win a SB on 2 different teams plus all his passing records that Montana or Brady will NEVER get puts Peyton at the top of the discussion as the GOAT.

Like it or not Patsie fans, Peyton is the best ever.

3SB wins and 2 SB choke jobs dont make you the GOAT.

    Keep dreaming.........

Out of all your stupid points this is by far the stupidest if it were actually true (Forehead hasn't won MVP or the SB).  The great QBs often stay with one team their entire career because every team recognizes the importance of the QB position.  The Colts were in a unique position with Forehead's injury and Luck being the best QB prospect in many years.

Based on the weather forecast for denver on Saturday there is a better chamce he goes one and out in the playoffs for the 8th time in his career.

    Hope he enjoys his MVP

Loved this...  great stat.   Best ever....  ha, ha, ha!!!

Gotta win 5 SB rings to be considered the best Leon.  Don't think at Capt. Forehead's age he has a shot at 5 SB rings,  let alone 2.

The only all-time mvp Fetus Head will win is most vulgar perpetrator. That's the only thing he is the goat for. How does it feel to know Vick and Rapistburger are actually a better a person than your hero? Truth.

How anybody can say that a guy with a 9-10 playoff record is the goat is laughable. Now go experience receiving your name, because I'm sure you have many times already.
