In Response to Yanks Fans Should Start Worrying About Their Ground-balls Specialist JETER:
The Yanks fans on this Forum shouldn`t worry about the Red Sox. common sense tells you... that sooner than later, the Sox will take care of business. The Texas Rangers are not the lowly Detroit Tigers... don`t make mistake. The Red Sox can very easy bounce back from the three games losing streak in Texas... that`s not a problem. Sox still got 159 games to go But on the other hand... Derek Jeter can not defy the law of  gravity... he will join the 37 years old ball club next month. Derek Jeter will probably need a hair blower to extinguish his 37 birthday candles next month... that´s a lot of candles. Derek Jeter is currently hitting well below his weight (143). Yanks fans have to stop worrying about the Red Sox, and start worrying about their ground-balls specialist "DEREK JETER".

Do you really think anyone believes your schtick?

OK Silly Beni, I'll bite. What is the combined weight of all of the Red Sox batters that have played over the last 3 games? Is it higher than the cumulative batting average of .200?

There is no way that the Red Sox dismal offensive production will continue nor will Jeter end up with a low batting average. Your "immature" assessment is rather premature don't you think?

Grow up and post something meaningful that requires a reasonable thought process and say hi to your mother Kim for me!

I have no doubt it's the same person who has always bumped them, and has always tried to blame you. He's also always put himself in charge of the "smelley" investigation (kind of like the fox guarding the hen house). He's annoyed that you're still here and standing your ground.  I think we both know who that is...a monkey could see this. Smile

You have completely failed to address the issues raised in my post, as usual, but have again posted unsubstantiated nonsense. Jeter may be getting older but is still better than at least half of the shortstops in the league and his offensive numbers in the end will reflect that.

If this thread was about his defense and declining lack of range then we could have a discussion but with regards to Jeter and offensive output, Yankee fans have little to worry about.

Hey J, somewhat true, i think Butler just lost focus in the 2nd half, they let the moment get away from them...though i'm a little put off by them due to their violations..props to UConn...too bad the ladies couldn't make it a daily double...though i detest Coach Auriemma

Jete is getting older and the Sox stunk last weekend and there is a long season ahead of us. I really enjoyed Monday though, the Sox didn't lose!!! I'm hoping tonight goes well, starting the week off with a win would be great.

I enjoyed Monday too....besides the Yanks winning UCONN won and in regard to what JBAY wrote above.....it really was an ugly game but I'll take it!

Derek Jeter has abandoned some of the changes he made this spring in his plate approach. Yankees hitting coach Kevin Long tried to help Jeter reduce his front-foot stride this spring, but the veteran shortstop hasn't felt comfortable at the plate and decided to abandon the new approach Monday. "I just said the heck with it," Jeter said. "I wasn't going to think about it. Before you're trying to think about where your foot is and you're trying not to move it, and it's just too much to think about." He is 2-for-14 with an RBI and three runs scored www.rotoworld.com/player/mlb/2076/derek-jeter

This is not a surprise; what is anal about Girardi/Jeter is not admitting that he shouldn't play in 156 Games; fatigue was a big part of the problem last yr.
