    While the season is still extremely young, the early returns on the shortstop position, defensively, are also starting to raise questions.  Yanks have already heard "past a diving Jeter!" several times and seen Nunez flub a routine play.  Jeter is still among the best in baseball at fielding the routine play, but his range seems diminished, even as compared to recent years.

    Uconn has their own cross to bare as far as school violations go jete. when butler got behind in the second half, they looked resigned to the loss, no fight to the finish.  Auriemma bought a friends grandparents beach house in old saybrook ct a few years ago. he agrees with you.

Jete is getting older and the Sox stunk last weekend and there is a long season ahead of us. I really enjoyed Monday though, the Sox didn't lose!!!     old at DH this season, old at third base, old at shortstop, 
    potentially old at the back of their rotation, old at closer,
    old when Andruw Jones is the center fielder.

    My point is... don`t worry about the Red Sox. The Red Sox can very easy bounce back from the three games losing streak in Texas... that`s not a problem. Sox still got 159 games to go...     It was a great tournament, I'm bummed that its over.  I don't get into the NBA much, I'll watch the playoffs but I'm just not that into it.  From here on out baseball dominates my summer....along with Phish summer tour!

    Derek Jeter has abandoned some of the changes he made this spring in his plate approach.
    Yankees hitting coach Kevin Long tried to help Jeter reduce his front-foot stride this spring, but the veteran shortstop hasn't felt comfortable at the plate and decided to abandon the new approach Monday. "I just said the heck with it," Jeter said. "I wasn't going to think about it.     Babe, I don't think all yankee fans HATE smiley.  I think most of us accept what he is.  he is funny and a little crazy, but honestly I don't think he takes himself seriously, how could he....so we have some fun with him, nothing more nothing less.

    I enjoyed Monday too....besides the Yanks winning UCONN won and in regard to what JBAY wrote above.....it really was an ugly game but I'll take it!

    The Yanks fans on this Forum shouldn`t worry about the Red Sox. common sense tells you... that sooner than later, the Sox will take care of business. Sox still got 159 games to go But on the other hand... Derek Jeter can not defy the law of  gravity... he will join the 37 years old ball club next month. Derek Jeter will probably need a hair blower to extinguish his 37 birthday candles next month... that´s a lot of candles. Derek Jeter is currently hitting well below his weight (143). Yanks fans have to stop worrying about the Red Sox, and start worrying about their ground-balls specialist "DEREK JETER".

    what a terrible basketball game last night. i've seen better high school games. neither team looked like they wanted it.  walker said they're the best team....uh no, you won but are far from the best team.

    My cousin went to UCONN and is a huge fan, no one can call her when the game is on.

    My dad watched all four sports so I love baseball, hockey and football.  I don't find basketball very interesting so I don't follow the Celtics.  Of course if they win I'm glad because they are a Boston team.
