You have completely failed to address the issues raised in my post, as usual, but have again posted unsubstantiated nonsense. Jeter may be getting older but is still better than at least half of the shortstops in the league and his offensive numbers in the end will reflect that.

If this thread was about his defense and declining lack of range then we could have a discussion but with regards to Jeter and offensive output, Yankee fans have little to worry about.

OK Silly Beni, I'll bite. What is the combined weight of all of the Red Sox batters that have played over the last 3 games? Is it higher than the cumulative batting average of .200?

There is no way that the Red Sox dismal offensive production will continue nor will Jeter end up with a low batting average. Your "immature" assessment is rather premature don't you think?

Grow up and post something meaningful that requires a reasonable thought process and say hi to your mother Kim for me!

fact: Jeter won a gold glove last year, not normal for a 36 year old SS.

Fact: Jeter batted .270 last year which is higher than most 36 year old shortstops

Fact: Jeter scored over 100 runs again last year which is more than most 36 year old Ss

Fact: Jeter was the starting SS on a playoff team.

smiley will love this post because he only deals in facts.

beni as long as i'm here i'm going to jump in. first of all, just because players are older and their best days are behind them, doesnt mean they still cant, wont  contribute to the team. secondly, we're all in "inevitable decline"; some further along than othersYellWink
