Still an idiot.Playing the race card but, admits "There wasn’t one ballpark that I probably didn’t stay up all night, until four or five in the morning, and the same thing is still in your system,”Hey Oil Can, maybe its BECAUSE YOU WERE HIGH AND DIDN"T TAKE CARE OF OF YOURSELF!!Still a legend in his peabrain-mind. -

Gee, wow. Big news. A guy from the 1980's used cocaine.
Dude, guess what? In the '80's, all of MLB was on cocaine. Ever hear of the Pittsburgh Drug Trials? Or the 4 players on the Royals who went to jail for possession? Do the names Rod Scurry, Willie Aikens, Willie Wilson, and Tim Raines mean anything to you?
When steroids stories started breaking, and fans started crying "cheater! cheater!" they showed us they forgot why baseball adopted a drug policy in the first place back in 1991 - to get cocaine out of the game, not steroids.
Even today, guess what drug is listed first on the Banned Substances List? -

Gee, it would have been so great if you had just stayed on the Pats board. -

It is just that is was a non-story for us. The 80's were exactly what they were and it didn't matter if you were a baseball player or an inner city kid.
Kim - welcome back. -

I loved Oil Can when he was on the Sox. Sad about the cocaine. But, glad he made it through. Not surprising really. The 80s baseball world was one big Studio 54 with artificial turf instead of light up disco floors. -

Just like with steroids , some people like to brush it off by saying, " Everyone was doing it." No. No. Not everyone was doing it. Shame on those that were. Just lost a lot of respect for Boyd. -

Red Sux cheating even before Manram and Big Sloopi arrived.
And the same lame excuse. Everybody else did it.
Like that makes it okay?
Fact: not everyone did it. -

in other news, birds still fly and kim kardashian has no morals with a big buttt. wow! cant say i'm surprised at all.. the guy was so animated and jumpy. look like he took a hit right before the game and between innings. plus how he talked and acted overall. very erratic.. this one goes under DUHHHH! good that he's admitting it though. no way he only used it as an 80s player, he used it long thereafter also. very bad home life, post-sox career. hopefully he's truly clean now and not just misdirected elsewhere. -

It was common knowledge in the night clubs in those days that Oil Can was a coke head. He hung out with all the users and dealers. I did not like him then and I like him less now. -

If you can explain how cocaine increases baseball performance, I'd love to hear it.
