    In my opinion... this is beyond ludicrous! There is a serious state of disfunction within this organization and its showing up on the field and in the standings!

    I wrote this team off a week ago! The Boston Red Sox are done in 2011!

    Wakefield on the active roster is a disgrace. He either needs to be on the DL, or gone.

    I've stated before that I feel he should hang 'em up....

    ...but after seeing some of the performances by Lackey, Buchholz and Daisuke (earlier) maybe it's a good thing that he stayed.

    Then isn't it equally obvious that if we should cut Wake for this:

    7.73 ERA /1.318 WHIP (Wake)

    we should cut these guys for this:

    Lackey  7.16/1.745
    Wheeler 11.32 /1.839
    B. Jenks  9.35/2.538
    Okajima  5.68/1.263
    Atchison 7.36/2.182
    Doubront 6.75/2.250
    D. Reyes 16.20/2.400

    That leaves us with just 9 guys that have played on the big club this year:
    Lester, Beckett, Buch, Dice-K (injury-prone), Paps, Bard, Aceves, Albes, and Hill.

    You want Bowden and Duckworth and who else to make 12?

    Sounds like a winning choice to me...

    Who starts thread after thread about one player? Who changes the subject of numerous threads to call attention to one player?
    You got a real problem, man. It's to the point where you need a constant scapegoat.

    The more attention you give it, the more glaring the problem. Do you have any idea how this pathological Wake bashing affects board perception of you?
