The Yankees have a skeleton crew these days. Derek Jeter is still not ready to play. Curtis Granderson is out with a broken arm. A-Rod is out recovering from hip surgery and isn't even in Florida. Robinson Cano and Mark Teixeira are away for the WBC.

Yet another example of plagiarism from EnchhiladaT.

Wow!  He can really paint the corners, & his off speed stuff can really freeze the hitter!

    VERY SHARP!

I know guys didn't want to hear it about Lackey's start, but Dempster nails my point about him.

When you can't bring the heat anymore, you better be able to mix & paint!  Dempster could really teach Lackey a thing or two about not relyiing on your fastball anymore.  It's all about PITCHING.  Mixing, painting, & having a substantial differential on your off speed stuff.

I hope Lackey can do well for the Sox in his comeback, but I'm not holding my breath

I guess the easy answer is yes.  But everyone misses a play like that from time to time.

Nicely working the ground balls early.  It's nice to see a grown up on the mound!  I hope his professonalism will rub off on Lester, Buch, & Duby.  With Lackey's new positive attitude, we could be looking good!?!?!?  Lots of question marks in that SR though.....

this is what i'm talking about. One minute you like Lackey then the next your spouting off about how he sucks. Pick a side and stick to it. it's hard to take you seriously when your as inconsistent as you are.

Three hitters, three strikeouts for Andrew Miller -- swinging at a fastball, swinging at a slider, check-swinging at a slider.

Miller looked GREAT!  I love him in this specialist LH role!  He has blossomed with the Red Sox!

    Why is Ciriaco in RF???

No doubt JBJ makes that catch.  Not that it matters, as the game means nothing>>>  I just don't get why Ciriaco is out there?

Ciriaco is a super-sub. Part of being a utility guy is occasionally playing in the OF when needed. don't be surprised if you see Holt (the other guy competiting for the utility job) out there at some point this spring too..

Ciriaco played some CF last season BTW
