    As always - 100% correct!

sorry zac but I don't agree. Papi expressed his opinion. period. he spoke his mind and I respect that. and for the record IMHO I thought hitting arod in the top of the 2nd with only a 2-0 lead was not a good baseball decision on RD's part. sort of like the song bro. you don't step on superman's cape, you don't spit into the wind, you don't mess around on the ol lone ranger and you don't purposely provoke a sleeping grizzly bear.
gee zac, I wonder who CC is gonna drill when the sox come down to da bronx????

Zac's comment also implies that Dempster didn't know how Ortiz felt about the incident.

For all we know, Ortiz told Dempster that night, that he wasn't happy about it.

FTR I think Ortiz should have kept it at a "no comment".

    Not a smart move.

I have back problem every year for like over 20 something years.  Sometime it goes away fast or sometime it take forever to make it go away.

Anyway, I have never heard that Papi have back problem as a MLB player or maybe he did once.  I think he may have some tightness on his back before he flew to SF.  Once he is on the plane so long,  I just think that his back may have develop more inflammation due sitting down too long.

    greetings Hammah

    no big disagreement here

I think we are just disagreeing on what the expression

'stabbed in the back '' means

to me it could just be  about not supporting someone

no worries yanks only payback by hitting HR's not players

lets face it  they are 2 old 2 fight ;-)

not sure where 4B's got this from

I never really thought about it

but I understand his need to ............

That comment was out of line zac. Although it will be spun that way.

Papi said that Dempseter is a great guy, likes him and is a good teammate, but didnt agree with something he did.

I know there will be a ton of comments like yours to make it look worse than it is. You can like someone but not like something they did. Where papi went wrong was telling the media who would obviously spin it this way.

we may have different meanings for stabbed in the back,  but the statement says the move was malicious, and it wasnt.

I agree with you.  Throwing your teammate under the bus is never a good idea. Keep it in the locker room, don't air your dirty laundry to the press.  Dumb move on the part of ortiz.

No, you do have a bad baseball mind.  Your sick campaign against Ortiz never ends.  I see you had to throw in another hint about him using PED's too.  Don't play innocent.

No one knows ortiz's state of mind, it may have very well been malicious, arod is his friend after all.  Of course he had to say dempster was a good guy to cover up his mistake.

On the other hand it may not have been malicious.  Point is no one here knows one way or the other.  I think everyone can agree or at least should agree that ortiz should have kept his mouth shut for the sake of his team.  He should back his teammate pure and simple.

If he didn't like that dempster threw at his friend he should have told dempster in private and not speak to the press about it.  Bad move ortiz.

I'm afraid your "visions" of Ortiz's abilities have not proven very reliable the last few years.
