Against righties, Nava in LF and Carp at DH

Against lefties, Gomes in LF and Carp at DH.

its not like Papi's injury is worrysome southpaw, right? I mean he only signed a 25 mil deal for the next two years and hasnt healed in over 6 months...at the young age of 37..nah, no need for concern

If Papi is on the DL...

    Trade Ellsbury for a prospect.

    Bradley in CF (Sweeney back-up)

    Napoli at 1B

    vs LHPs:

    Gomes at DH

    Brentz or Linares in LF

    vs RHPs:

    Nava at DH

Sweeney in LF (Or Brentz/Linares if they prove they can hit ML RHPs better)

Note: Nava and Gomes might play some  vs selected off-handed pitchers.

Not as much as some make it out to be geo...Of course there is some concern, but he will be playing in a week, has been doing full workouts with no issues whatsoever. They were being extra extra cautious with him as they should. If he was a position player I might be worried a little more...

My concern troll response was because this guy has had 3 screen names this week (using Enchilada's name with a slight variation) and is just posting "concerns" for the sox. You know very well Im far from a board police type so please dont compare me to pike. I just think what this poster is doing is shady.

Re: No guarantee Ortiz will be ready for Opening Day: Who should replace Ortiz?

Trading Ells before the seaon starts will get us more return since the team getting Ells will have full season of Ells and be able to offer him QO to attach draft pick or they can just trade him to the contending team if they fall out of competition.
