If they win tonight they have Verlander going tomorrow. I'm still cheering for the Giants though.

Well, Jbay and monsieur...I never thought they were this good...I listen to Mad Dog a lot on my XM at work when I am not seeing clients...It always seemed to me he was delusional about how good the Giants are...I guess not....At this point, I am rooting for them, as much as I am an AL boy...Still upset about the Yankee collapse...Nice to see the Bengals get a taste of a possible sweep....Though I still think they will come back and pull this one out...Will it be against Lincecum after Cain is yanked?

Mad Dog a Giants fan. Lives in CT, his son is a Red Sox fan. Think his hatred for the Yankees was part of the reason for the break up with Francesa. That and talking about tennis;)

Absolutely the case, jbay....And Russo's dad is a Yankee fan...But Francesa and Mad Dog were entertaining together on WFAN...When YES took over the broadcasts, it was inevitable that Russo would eventually go...I will say this for him...He continued to bash the Yankees on their own YES network, especially when stuffed-shirt Francesa was off on any given day...And I give credit to YES...They let him do his thing for a few years unimpeded...

Nice base running by Blanco. That should have been a dp.

Again...I think Blanco is a middleweight Venezuelan boxer...Why is he playing baseball...Something is fishy here...Along with the long hand of Hugo Chavez....Could we please get a few non-Venezuelan players into this WS...

I remember him saying thats why he became a Giants fan, his father tried to make him be an Yankee fan. They had great ratings. I think WFAN finally got rid of him because of Francesa. Apparently, a lot of off air fighting. He hasn't been as good on his best day without Chris Russo.

I could not agree more...Even though I am a diehard Yankee fan, and Francesa should have my allegiance, I find that he is a pompous windbag...When I listened to him and Mad Dog for years, it was because of Russo, not Francesa...The latter's default setting is to belittle his callers if they should say anything vaguely obvious or vaguely edgy...In my book, just as you suggest jbay, he is ridiculously exposed without Mad Dog's manic energy and commentary....I hear that if you tape his show and listen to it before bedtime, he can beat Ambien, Lunesta, Trazadone and Remeron combined as a relaible soporific...

Do many people in southern Conn. get YES on TV and listen to WFAN daily. I would assume that only Yankee fans would do that.

You know what they say about people who assume, Pike. Seems applicable here.
