Moon is there any way you can do a smaller sample from April 23, the start of the 6 game streak, through yesterday's win--I believe that is 21 games--I think they are 12 and 9 during that span. I am looking more for pitching stats--starters and relievers seperated.

and where are you getting the info---can you reveal your source???

    Thanks

Baseball ref under team splits, last 7 days and last 28 days, click on stat and it will give each player in that time period.

Look at Middlebrooks OPS over the last seven games.  I'm not saying that he's bad, I'm just saying that it may be wise to put temporarily stop on the "trade Youk for pennies on the dollar" effort.

NAVA HOO.  Loved the kid since his first swing yet someone in the organization has wood for DMac.

Nava and Middy's production have been a huge plus moon.  If DMac ever breaks this roster again, someone in this organization should be fired.   There are too many kids/vets in the minors who deserve a chance to help even if guys like Nava eventually tail off.  He has a sweet swing and I love the way Nava approaches every game so any slump may not be "long term" like DMac.

Nava is a great story. I hope he sticks this time.

While he might be an awful fielder, so is DMac, so I agree, Nava should stay over DMac, unless he totally unravels.

Keep in mind that in 2010 when Nava came up, he hit .242 with just one HR in 188 at-bats in 60 games but after a strong first 10 games, he hit just .205 over the next 50.

D-Mac hit .270 with nine home runs in 117 games and 363 at-bats so by any rational analysis at that time, keeping D-Mac over Nava going forward was the right choice.

Now playing Nava over McDonald is the right choice as Nava has improved while McDonald has declined.

Although DMac has his faults, I have defended him over the years more out of the fact that we had no better (healthy) choice. Now, that appears to have changed. (Small sample size)
