Made his own mess and got himself out of it. Basically, story of his career?
EDIT: Well, anyway, mlb.com called them both wild pitches, so I'm assuming that... -

In Response to Re: 6/25 Game Thread: Wakefield vs. Karstens:I love that MLB blackout restrictions deem that I'm somehow in the Pittsburgh market when I'm three-and-a-half hours away in central Ohio. I never have Cleveland or Cincinnati games blacked out, both of which are less than two hours away and both rarely are at half-capacity. Yet, games in Pittsburgh, inexplicably, are blacked out. Thanks to MLB for looking out for us fans that pay your bloated salaries. It's just not enough for MLB that I've forked over roughly $200 annually for a decade to watch my team play. I now realize that I'm simply not able to handle the entertainment that you provide on a full-time basis. For my own safety, I must watch baseball in moderation or face unknown consequences. I sincerely apologize to MLB for having higher expectations for your services than you wish to deliver. My bad!!

I have the same problem when the Sox are playing Oakland, though I'm 300 miles away and they don't televise their affiliate here. -

At least we're having better swings tonight (not that it's saying much compared to the last two games).

Anything but a DP from Scutaro there. At least clear the pitcher. Now Wake leads off the next inning. -

If Overbay hits one in San Francisco, he couldn't hit one over the bay, but he could hit one into it.

Hey, hold on a sec. That's not what I meant. This game is far from over.
I was referring to my first post in this thread, RE: Wake's ERA.
Although now that I think about it, I can see that the way you read my post is probably the way it would come across to just about anyone. My mistake.
(What I meant was that at this point he'd have to go 9 innings with no more damage for this game to have a positive impact. Thus, "Gonna have to live to fight another day" meaning going to just have to do enough damage control that it doesn't turn ugly and have a lasting effect.)
