Well , not good. With Miller going tomorrow, then three in Philly , this could turn into a serious losing streak. At least , I think we found an every day outfielder in Reddick.

I said last night that he obviously means a lot more to this team than those naysayers thought. We've done nothing but suck out loud since he went down.

All right, when do we play the Yankees next? We need a few easy wins to get back on track.

I like your spirit, kid (guy? gramps?). Nice chatting with ya in spite of the outcome of the game.
Now we'll watch the mob pronounce this team dead after falling 1/2 game out of first in June.

Very possible, and don't forget, the Pirates are pitching a guy "the Red Sox have never seen before." Joy. Of course, you know they're going to get swept by Pittsburg, sweep Philadelphia, then lose 2 out of 3 to Houston.

I don't think they're dead, just in a state of suspended animation that mimics death and has all it's signposts.

Unbelieveable! If anyone told me they'd lose 4 straight to a Padres-Pirates combo, I would have given them a funny look. With Phormidable Philly next, we need a big one tomorrow. Sad 1-4 road trip so far.

Well, another disappointment. The Red Sox have a total record of 145-113 in Interleague play, and have gone 100-50 in Interleague play since 2003. Bard is tied for the AL lead in holds with 14, and has not allowed a run in 12 innings (over last ten appearances).

Not yet half way through the season. Of course they are not dead. Still, it is disappointing , after the way we dominated the Yankees , to be looking up at them tonight. And the Rays are coming on strong again. It will not be easy to win this division. Going to need good starting pitching and clutch hitting. Also, need to get Buch and Crawford back, and then stay healthy.

More poetic that way. I guess.

My bad! But then it was worse losing 2 of 3 at home to S.D.
