    CC - No, the pitcher doesn't have to hit in Papi's spot. You can put in a new DH or PR for them at any point in the game as long as it's the same spot in the bating order. Cameron is the DH now (a bit of an oxymoron given his performance this year). You don't lose the DH unless the DH has to go into the game to play in the field (say Adrian got hurt an Papi had to play first). At that time, the pitcher has to hit (in Adrian's spot in the above example).
