BACK TO THREE GAMES UP WITH THREE GAMES TO THE TRADE DEAD LINE

Then again, Cashman will probably say he's going for the Wild Card

Yeah, and could be 3.5 if they win behind Beckett tomorow. I'd REALLY like to go in and win that series in Chicago. I'm SICK of losing to them. My brother is a WS fan, if the Red Sox lose another series, who knows what smack will get posted on my FB wall, it'll get ugly.

I was thinking the same thing - Pedey the new clean up hitter

Is he capable of going 30/30 ??

Not sure if he went on his own or Bogar told him to go. It's actually not the worst play, if you think about it. If you stay on third, they easily nail Pedey for the second out.  Royals were alert, though.

I remember you said that about your family member........Yeah the Chi Sox OWN us - we gotta do something to change that........If I recall, we play some ugly ball in their park too for some reason........

Hey, Andrew, are you feeling good about our team yet or are you still in your need to "wait and see" mode?

Could almost see Papi's slam coming. Ahead in the count 3-1, Chen does not want to walk in another run. Papi had just missed one , last at bat.

Joel - go back and read the thread you started about CAKE and reposted this week

I said "we were back in business" way back in either late April or May....you even responded in kind

I still think we conceded the division in April but I never said we couldn't make the playoffs.......We won't know until late September and if I am wrong that's fine - it just meant they really turned things around

I am concerned about their rotation heading into Oct

But if you think I gave up then that's just wrong...not saying you did but it amazes me how many (pompous) board members think they know everything going on inside another poster's head not to mention the internet tuff guys.....anyways, you won't find me making personal attacks but you know that already.....

    So.......in a word...or two

    Of course

Watch or Listen to Every Game and that's never going to change

Lackey starting to worry me just a little here. It's too early to have the pen up now--especially when I see it's a rookie.

Yankees have been very quiet on the trade talks. Reminds of that scene in the old westerns. " Quiet out there."  "Yeah, too quiet."  They may be planning something big before the deadline.

which one? Wink  they said 4-6 weeks initially...which was long enough for him to take some time to get back in the swing, even once he does

Cool.  I didn't read back through the entire thread but my sense back then was that you had pretty much thrown in the towel (at least insofar as winning the division, as you said).
