In five painful to watch him seasons, JD Drew never drove in 70 RBIs one time. It was gut wrenching watching him take the first two strikes, and then whiff at the third, as there was a man on third with less than two outs. I believe it was the most telling statistic of how awful he was over his time with Boston. Cody Ross, a man getting paid a small fraction of what JD made six years ago, will reach 70 RBI sometime in August in spite of being platooned for much of the season. I bring this up because for years I read posters here defend Drew as he failed time and time again to get the run in. It's so nice to have somebody in right that actually wants to drive in runs instead of work a walk in those situations. Way to go Cody.
