Ellsbury is very likely to leave Boston after this year, so we only have to read softlaw's whines about him for 4 or 5 more years...

we'll be better off if the sox sign him. not only will we have a cornerstone player locked up long term but Stiffy will likely have a stroke and die... its a win-win :) -

True, but he will also quickly find a new target for hateful fixation on the Sox. -

With all his incarnations and reincarnations, what makes you rthink Softy couldn't come back from the grave to continue to bash one of his punching bags? -

don't be so hasty, the kids played 50 games in AA at a "Meh" level and yes, he is having sucess so far in ST..... BUT its only been a weeks worth of games when pitchers are only throwing FBs and not attacking hitters just yet. if he keeps it up throughout the duration of ST you might have a point. -

He's already started targeting Xander Bogaerts. -

The number of runs scored that superstar leadoff hitter Jacoby Ellsbury has averaged since being named the starting CF'er, over a half a decade ago.
Before I opened this thread, I thought it was the RS O/U; sounds about right; of course, they could also win 100, but not likely. -

Really? and what exactly do you think you will get back right now?IF they decide to trade him, it will most likely be at the deadline where his value (IF hes doing well) will be at its highest..Right now, his value isnt very high coming off another injury and not doing so well upon his return last year...

18 & 74. The number of games he has played during two injury plagued seasons. Kinda misleading to thow those in there as full seasons........but I wouldn't of expected anything less from Softy.
104. His 162 game Average.

107.0
The average number of runs Jacoby scores per 162 games.
Runs scored by our leadoff hitters in recent years:
2012 88 (Jacoby missed over half the season)
2011 127
2010 103 (Jacoby missed almost the whole year)
2009 111
2008 108
It's clear our leadoff hitters score much more when Jacoby is not playing. Right?
~115 per season when Jacoby plays FT.
~95 per season when he does not.
Silly clown.

His actual runs scored per season is 107 but you don't care about fact do you? -
