    79 and counting

Methinks my part-timer's memory holds to a thread succinctly entitled "71" - no, not the year my two older brothers graduated as Red Raiders from SHS in Rochester, NH, which it was - but the gestimate of another of our glass less than half full fans here.

It was the number of games Big Papi would play in a Sox uni this year, due to injury.

While I am waiting for the alarm to go off and wake me, I thought I might mention that so far he is at 79 and counting.  And appears to be healthy ...  and playing sorta well.

    Sorta

I wonder how long before they include SB's in his list of #1 DH statistic's...he has to be getting close to #1 in that category too.

if Ortiz stays healthy i like our chances.

Rickey had 41 SB as DH, papi only has 15. (fyi - the 4 he has this season so far already eclipses his season high of 3 set in 2007).  not sure who the all time leader is.....
