In nearly every game, the opposing pitcher has a lower ERA.

Just a simple statement of fact.  Check the box scores.  It kind of explains why we are where we are.

That is what happens when your team is 12TH in the league in ERA. As of this morning, only Cleveland and Minnesota have worse overall ERAs in the AL-and they are not that much worse than us. Its entirely conceivable that by the end of the year our team ERA could be THE WORST in all of the AL. I don't know about the rest of you, but I am not rooting against the Red Sox this weekend. I am rooting FOR the Orioles. Any wins we get against them only helps the Yankees and hurts our draft position.

Here's to a weekend sweep by the Baltimore Orioles!

I believe I heard that Lester had never lost a game against the Orioles.  Just another example of how bad the Red Sox pitching has been this season.  I am still hoping that they can win more games than they lose for the remainder of the season.
