As a sidenote, rookie Seahawk quarterback Russell Wilson played baseball professionally for the Tri-City Dust Devils and the Asheville Tourists in the Colorado Rockies farm system:

Basball is a country club. Football is a slaughterhouse.

couldnt believe my eyes yesterday.. here you had a transcending franchise superstar at the Michael Jordan, lebron James,  Strasburg, ellsbury phenom level already with a potentially catastrophic injury to his valuable knee dragging the thing around after clearly reaggravating it in the first quarter and noone is even checking him or even thinking about pulling him.. football players get shot up and play.. dammmit! that was way too sadistic for my tastes.. you have the guy blowing his entire wad in his first year esp when his backup has proven to already be very competent. this doesnt bode well for his future.. the callouness of the coach after the game was striking. that decision should clearly not be made by players or coaches. a doctor non-accountable to the team should have been making that call... period!

on the other hand, strasburg is the total wuzzy extreme that shames baseball... lets protect a stud from an injury he doesnt have and likely could never have.. one thing to do a pitch count and take precautions but to totally pull him was disgraceful to the entire spirit of sports. karma will bite the nats.. to me, there's a middle ground somewhere, thats what the CONTRARIAN is all about. that area between shanahan and wuzzy nats is what it should be about!

I would like to see you take a Srasburg fastball right in the head.

    Have you been dumped lately?

    You are one angry dude.

The Commie may be an annoying poster, with an unheathly fixation on pop culture, but a fastball to the head? Really?

    Again, give Zoloft a try...
