    How can you say that? Of the three players traded only one was a mistake though a necessity to get the other two moved out.

    You act like all three were part of the solution.

    Sure Gonzalez hit a home run.  So what?  He has been the hottest hitter in baseball since the All Star break.

    He had too big (and too long) of a contract, was the centerpiece of the deal that saw Crawford's and Beckett's salary removed from the Red Sox balance sheet and probably needed a new home almost as much as Crawford and Beckett.

    Good trade so far.  We'll see what happens from here.
