"IF" we move on to the WS Farrell, leave Peavey off of the roster and start Dempster.   He cannot be any worse.

Right now I do not think Boston has a chance, they look lost out there and totally dead and their manager does NOTHING to spark this team.

Drew should be out of the line up in favor of a "potential" spark in Bogey.    If not Drew then get Midlebrooks out of there.

It's one game in a 7 game series.  The Sox are up 2-1.  If the Tigers win, it's tied 2-2 and the series will be heading back to Fenway after tomorrow's game.  You wanna jump ship?  Great.  At least we see you for the fraud you are and will lambaste you when you try to come back when the Sox make it to the WS.

Bad pitching + bad hitting + bad fielding = bad game = loss.

Let's hope they get things together for thursday.

Ugh 7-0 I may have to give up.  Im sure the odds percentage wise are at about 1 to 2 percent for a win tonight.  Ah well remember the Sox lost game 3 vs the Yankholes at Fenway in 2004 and the score was 19 to 8.

Too long of a layoff for Peavy 8 days. Way too much. How do you walk Austin Jackson to force in a run ?

I agree with you on Drew, he just does not hit. This team is striking out way too much. I just do not get it.

At least Taz, Uehara & Bres will be rested for game 5.  Sox have to get to Scherzer tomorrow, and not let it be like game 1.

There is a good possibility Sox will return to Fenway leading 3-2.

Detroit's not hitting so Leyland shakes up the line-up; SOX aren't hitting so Farrell just shakes his head.

    [/QUOTE]

The lineup shake up produced the exact situation leyland was trying to avoid so peavey helped him out with a four pitch walk.

even if we lose this game, we aT least need to,score 4 or five runs just to have some momentum. But this game can still be won, but we have to get something going real soon.

Never expected to sweep in Detroit... Most  probably,  a 3 games series starting tomorrow, with two games at Fenway... Law of averages tells Sox should hit tomorrow... So lets hope Lester comes back strong with good run support...would like to see some runs tonight, even if we lose...Farrell the great Master of Clubhouse Chemistry must rally team tomorrow, knute Rockne style... Go Sox, start hitting parade asap...Concerns? ... Many...

There is something on the base patch soon after 1st that makes runners slip.  I have seen this too many times yesterday and today.  Hope no one gets hurt.

Detroit is throwing 4 Cy Youngs it seems this post season.

We were fortunate (kinda lucky) in game 2, one Verlander mistake from an extra ining game yesterday, Sox could easily be down 3-0 and this the clincher.   Luckily they're not.

What worries me is this team is not hitting at all. I thought they would break out tonight, my mistake was that I picked the wrong team and Peavy puked all over his shoes tonight. Middlebrooks struk out for number 6. Is it me or has anyone else seen a team strikeout like they have this series.

Luchinno better fork up the money for Ellsbury this offseason because he is a 100 million dollar player, Pedoia is not. He is good but not worthy of that contract they gave him.

Pedey must have partied hard after game 3.  Not his day today.  Nor Peavy's.  Both laid eggs.
