Farrell needs to check with Uehara but believes he could get more than three outs

I was a little worried about Koji last game. Looking at him on the mound, he looked tired and a little nervous.  But he came through like a champ as usual.

I was too. gale. They showed him in the dugout before coming back out for the 9th, had that do I have to look and took a deep breath....and so did I.

Biggest uncertainty for me for today's game is Bucholz's performance.  He can be lights out, but he can also stink.

No matter what, Sox lineup needs to mash up some runs soon, and never get behind.  Bucholz tends to pitch better with the lead.

God forbid if Sox have to play game 7, West will be the home plate ump.  That itself should be enough incentive to close the series today.

Bogey misplayed that ball, and glad Drew covered for him.

Hate lead off runner.  Have to erase him either with a pick off, or a DP.

Unlike Lester who is a gamer even if he is not on top of his game, Bucholz tends to disintegrate easily under pressure.

Buchholz is scared. He doesnt want to deliever to Cabrera, you can tell. Not a great sign.

Throw sliders to the outside of the plate.  Make Cabby chase, like Taz did.

Buch gets way too distracted when a runner is on base. Worry about the batter

Exactly, before he throws it in the dugout.  Let your defense do their job.

Two batters in and already the first Verlander shot.

That should help Bucholz confidence.  Nice chest level heater to the best batter in baseball to strike him out swinging.

since 2000 Sox have had great sucess, this is the Sox 5th time deep into the postseason(LCS/WS), a win today puts them in their 3rd WS in that span with a chance to be perfect in three tries...should be fun...

Is this a plan? Keep Sherzer in the dugout getting colder you think?

Confidence for Bucholz keeps rising.  2 fastballs for swinging strikes.
