if we lose tonight then we have to beat BOTH PRICE AND MOORE on Thursday - That will be Madden's game plan - Price for as long as he can and then Moore - you may not see anyone else that game - he will want to get beat w/ his 2 best and it's hard to beat those guys 2x in a series.

RS better close it out tonight.  Game 5 with Price-Moore will be tough, not impossible to win; after all, both of them did get beaten and quite handily.

Red Sox in 2013 World Series, Patriots in 2014 Super Bowl!

I would consider using Lackey tonight if necessary

And IF IF IF game 5, counter Price-Moore w/ Lester-Buck (then Brez then Koji - no one else gets into that game)

The sox were very aggressive in game one, pushing the envelope every chance they had. That aggresion kept the rays on their heals all night. The sox were accused of piling it on and being poor sports. That aggression and intensity were missing last night. It served them very well in game one and to some extent,  game 2 as well. They need it back tonight big time.I think Peavey will get them going.

I never heard them accused of piling it on.  It's a playoff game, the Rays weren't going to let up, why should they.

I agree about Peavy, I expect a great game from him tonight.

I would expect Farrell wil have Doubront primed and ready should Peavy run into any difficulties early today.....just liek Maddon is going to have Archer ready.

Of course the piling on comments were made by many rays commentators. I didn't think they were. I say score 30 runs if u can. My point was their intensity and agressiveness and they need that back tonight.

I thought they were aggressive in earlier innings...Ellsbury certainly applied lots of pressure.

A's just took a 4-3 lead on the Tigers in the top of the 7th. I like the West Coast games because they don't start until I get home from work, but I know most for you guys hate it on week nights.

I enjoyed the intensity of the first game, they need to play with the same fire tonight.

Re: ALDS Game 4 Thread: Red Sox at Rays

Concerned , very concerned, lost momentum last night, team seemed overconfident, and that was bad, farrell didnot help by  challenging Longoria foolishly... My biggest concern today is Peavy ( to big a game for a guywith best times behind) and bullpen...Dempster and Dubront should get early nods if necessary... Even Lester as it was Scherzer at Detroit earlier today...

My  main hope is for a good offense... We would need a ton of runs to overcome a Peavy bust...secondly we need to be more aggressive, no deep counts, on bases too...Hope Lady luck wears again a Sox cap...

    Go Sox
